Its based on the amount of transaction occurring, of which 1% get redistributed between stakers.
That also means you will lose 2% of your stack when, 1 when you stake, 1 when you unstake.
You also have to pay the eth fees when staking and unstaking.

With 3k, based on what I get, you will probably earn about 15 per day.

So maybe 3 to 4 days to earn back the 2%, then you have to work out the oct of eth fees against however much asko you would need to cover.

All this should tell you how long you need to hold for it to be worth it.
