It won't stop because people won't stop delegating. Pump after pump. Every subgraph will result in a pump. 7000 subgraphs we will get 7000 pumps. Top 5 project soon.

there's a lot of euphoria happening, take estimates as you will. remember, 80% of the tokens aren't released to the public and 16% get released at once to be sold by people who got it at .0001 in summer. this will be called a fud but it's a genuine thing to take into consideration

>>28465377
Historically we can see supply increases is actually bullish and ICO holders won’t just dump ASAP cause they know the project

>> No.28465507

>>28465377
when this gets brought up everyone shrieks priced in and fud. i think everyone is just genuinely anxious about the fact that we all know this dump is happening but can’t predict the results.

When's this going to pull past $2?

Idk what youre talking about anyone with 5k or more is delegating to get more tokens. Were all about the passive gains. Dont forget this has the potential to become deflationary given enough queries.

>> No.28466428

I posted in one of the previous threads that it should actually be relatively easy to get an accurate estimation of what GRT is worth because it is actually directly tied to a use. You have the number of queries taking place, the fee per query, and the supply of tokens. Someone who can math should be able to figure out the relationship.

If the price of the queries that indexers make is less than what they would make by just selling the tokens, then they should liquidate.

Right now, queries are too low to justify the price of the token. That's my real concern.

but wouldn’t the number of queries be unknown?

>> No.28467103

>>28466767
No, the data is out there. Quick google (of blockchain) result said they passed 1 billion monthly queries in June 2020, so it's safe to say they're doing even more now.

>>28466720
This was my thought too, which is why I started researching it. But like I posted above, the number of queries is growing exponentially and we're really just in the beta testing phase. Once all the subgraphs come online this year, and if web3 catches on, this could explode.

>> No.28467274

>>28467103
It could and will eventually, but I'm worried that indexers might start dumping if the price gets too high and don't see a lot of movement increasing of queries.

>> No.28467470

>>28466757
Yup this!

>> No.28467580

>>28467274
It's a valid concern, and one that I have too, but the way the rules are structured, indexers must keep a certain amount of GRT staked. They'd also be shooting themselves in the foot by selling a lot since having a large amount of GRT is encouraged via rewards.

I feel that it's more likely that those holders put the tokens towards indexes and delegations than just dumping it on the market immediately, but we won't know until they're released
