The difference is most of that printed money is being saved. It's almost like it doesn't exist at all. We still need to get some inflation and some growing basic interest BEFORE any crash.

The economy was "normal" in 2017 so the bubble exploded faster.

History doesn't repeat anon. Instead of looking at patterns to see what's similar between now and then you should look at what's different. At this point we actually are starting to see widespread adoption of crypto by businesses, you have infrastructure projects for developing dapps, defi is bigger than ever...I wouldn't be surprised if there's a correction but it's not going to be a 2017 style crash. Umm, no, the "tulip bubble" never really happened. What did happen was government interference in contracts to change the structure for the benefit of one side, which caused a financial reshuffling. And then the Christian wackos started making up all sorts of nonsense stories about people killing themselves over losing fortunes to promote the idea of "good Christian poverty".

>Stock Market crashed in the 1920s because people realized you can make more stocks.
No, it was just financial fuckups by the government.

>Housing bubble collapsed because people made more houses.
No, the bubble was caused by financial fuckups on the parts of both Wall Street and the government.

>Dot com bubble crashed because people made more web companies.
No, that was a purely speculative bubble based on a major new technology and the inability of people to figure out how to value companies that weren't actually making profits but which seemed to be growing insanely fast.

>You can not make more than 21 million bitcoin, it will be scarce to the end of time.

Tulips crashed more because of a limited overall demand for them, that was inflated with people figuring 'i can get in now and then sell it tomorrow' creating the bulk of demand, as opposed to people who actually wanted tulips because they liked them.

Quite a good point and a nice theory - this time around, we're a bubble within a bigger bubble, and both growing. So the outside pressure on our bubble is less than it was ever before, so less risk of imploding.
However, if the outside bubble (the world economy) bursts, it would cascade down to our bubble, of course. But if and when that happens is anyone's guess. People are calling it for many years now, and it just goes on and on and on ...

That's just plain wrong. Bitcoin doesn't even use GPUs for serious mining anymore. They've moved on to ASICs from 2018 onward. The actual reason for GPUs having ridiculous prices is just because of supply issues stemming from coronavirus meme lockdowns, as well as tariffs for GPUs kicking into effect in 2021 (they used to have exceptions from tariff laws, but those exceptions expired).

That said, thank fucking god I upgraded to a 5700xt back in 2019. The same GPU now costs at least 1200, a 3x price hike despite now being a 1.5yr old card. topkek

This is what I have been thinking, if everything is crashing why the fuck do I want dollars they are printing so fast monopoly money might have more intrinsic value.

Keep in mind this is with lockdowns, once they are over is when hyper inflation hits.

The catalyst for hyper inflation in weimar germany was the end of the war. They had been printing a metric fuckton and it didn’t effect the economy at first because everyone was essentially the same way we are, locked down and fearful of spending. Obviously us degenerates dont give a fuck but we are like maybe 1% of the population. Once the pandemic is over all the money people have been saving is going to flood society and hyper inflation will be inevitable.
