LVR reported that the median price of existing single-family homes sold in Southern Nevada through its Multiple Listing Service (MLS) during January held steady at $345,000 - matching the record set in November and tied in December of 2020.

The median price is also up 13.1% from January 2020, where the cost was $305,000.

Additionally, local condos and townhomes posted double-digit gains compared to last year, selling for a median price of $193,000 in January. This number is up 10.3% from $175,000 in January of 2020.

"The local housing market continues to perform better during this pandemic than most of us expected," said 2021 LVR President Aldo Martinez. "This month's statistics are especially encouraging when you consider that January is usually one of the slowest months for both home sales and prices."

This is las vegas which was one of worst hit areas by covid but had a hot market before it.

There will still obviously be problems if they raise interest rates, but I really doubt they are worried about inflation. It's the plan to deal with debts, pensions, etc.

On the other hand if they start increasing taxes on things like unrealized gains or realized gains then not only fighting inflation but massive drags on gains soon.

They can erase a lot of owed money in nominal dollars and increase taxes on the "new rich" all at once. There's going to be a squeeze on everyone from the government.

Cannabro here. My losses have been recouped since my run. I am going to smoke away the bad juju so stocks can go higher. I believe TLRY is just going through whiplash from people taking profits; but this is the dip before the 100+launch. When the APHA merger pops you'll never see TLRY under 40 again. Also I trimmed shares yesterday so I am happy. I am not losing nearly as much as I couldve. Gotta learn to trim shares on blood green days.

Should I transition from stocks to options? I have a comfy institutional investor account mostly in typical slow moving ETFs, managed by a tribe member. For my retail account, however (where only a fraction of my money goes), I'm thinking that buying and holding individual stocks long term is less wise since it's essentially gambling money and the point is to try to hit it big with individual picks, not 10-15 year holds.

I started trading with $160 and I’m at $400 so that’s good but I can’t seem to move on. After Gme and checking it every second of every hour of every day I am just exhausted. I tried trading again yesterday with SNDL because it had been on my watchlist for a while so I put in only enough for 15 shares and it went up then crashed today and I sold because it was all I could think about not really because of the money (I only lost $10 or so)

How do you trust shit enough to just set it and forget it?

I started trading on January 1st and I’ve got no clue how to move on from here. I have 1 share on a weed etf because I thought I could handle the down but I keep checking on it to see if I lost money
