How are we doing today fellas? Not working too hard I hope?

Today I made a nice cuppa and am watching Higurashi while putting off the two calls I have to make for as long as possible. Two weeks in and this job is already the best I've ever had.

I’m glad you’re having a great morning! It’s nice not having to worry about driving. I got like 7 inches of snow outside my door and more is coming.

Currently in the one week a year where I work 12 hour days and bust my ass so nobody gets to bother me the rest of the year. Just finished my coffee and morning shit posting; getting a couple of vinyls from downstairs and gonna get in the zone.

Stay comfy frens.

The most comfy thread. Did you guys go to college to get your job? I have a degree but it’s not software related and I’m having a hard time finding remote jobs. Want to self teach some coding shit but not sure what to work on.

I have two hours of mandatory safety meetings today because someone must have fucked up something really bad on-site, and with the logic characteristic of bureaucracy, that means we WFHers must attend Zoom meetings when the worst thing that could happen to us is carpal tunnel.

I got lucky and snagged an urgently hiring job with red cross, originally to work in elderly homes, but after a month on standby they ended up putting me on a "virtual responder team" (basically a glorified call center). Potentially going longterm, but this makes me want to get into coding or something similar so I never have to leave home again

Update from yesterday:
>got to sleep a bit earlier
>woke up
>SAT DOWN to piss this morning, no treason from you today penis
>odd burning sensation though, probably dehydrated
>much less brain fog today, Zeus stopped fucking with the weather so morning meeting went more smoothly
>skipped making breakfast, no clumsiness there
>not feeling ill, I think pounding vit C yesterday helped
>will go get an early lunch today before starting the final day of "training"
>yesterday's training went from 11 to FIVE FUCKING THIRTY PM
>might be the same today
>never ever sign up for virtual training on video chat guys, never ever
>also I got over 20 emails yesterday, pretty bad, only opened half of them and probably won't open the rest until Friday or Tuesday
>lol
I get paid 6 figures, got a very positive performance evaluation last week, and had my boss' boss compliment my weather "forecasts" the other day. Everyone thinks I'm a rockstar.

I think I'm actually working today lads, Tuesday I had the day all by myself and yesterday I only worked about 3 hours and slept the rest. This is a part time job with horrendous pay so I'm not too worry about that, I'm also looking to enroll for a master's degree if I can find a good scholarship, I wanted to do my master's overseas but with the current situation of the world it doesn't seem like a good idea. Any coffee recommendations? I'm drinking matcha on the mornings and it's nice but I still get really sleepy after lunch

Better hurry, C-suite fuckers are getting antsy and want to drag all the wagies back to the office asap. I probably only have until April or May until people start insisting I'm in the office every day again.

I have had all week to do a major code refactor and it is amazing. It isn't to brain-heavy so I can listen to music and jam out while making hundreds of commits. Best of all, I am fixing my project's automated testing so my whole team wont have to manually delete errant loading spinners anymore. This will boost productivity and morale on our team. I unironically love WFH and don't want to squander this opportunity.

We still have to attend office wide mandatory anti-mass shooting security or HR anti discrimination meetings for some bizarre reason. Luckily there's like 100 people in the meeting so I can just leave it on, turn camera off and play video games

That's just corporate liability ass covering, no need to pay attention in those meetings at all. It's all common sense stuff anyway.
