I guess I'm desperate enough at $16 to bump the thread waiting for that anon to see it, but I'm autistic enough to bump it with autistic shit so here is my collection of retrofuture images everyone. I hope you like them.

So my dad was one of the first online poker card printing producers in the US and he always enjoyed retrofuturism. So he was so happy to apply his fascination to his job

This story doesnt have a fascinating ending like I became a graphics designer because of some poker cards my dad bought me or I became a huge poker player but I did draw for a living at one point using commissions to give me gas money and I did gamble a hefty sum during my first and only trip to vegas. I just thought I'd share a time in my life nobody else would really care about except whoever, for whatever reason, is reading this right now.

And thats the story of how Diego stole Maria. I would later, in college, find out through an old classmate named Gregory that Diego died from a illness in highschool. I will never know what happened to Maria, but I am glad for Diego that he got to experience complete happiness at such a young age, given the fact he would be deprived of life only a few years later. He deserved it more than me, for sure.

When I was younger I got bullied pretty badly because I was pretty autistic/unathletic. I was a late bloomer, so being 5'7 and unathletic in 8th grade was not a fun experience. I was also super nerdy and didn't understand social cues, all I ever cared about was computers and shit like that and when I tried explaining it to other kids they would essentially scoff at me or intentionally misconstrue me. That was another pretty common thing, the Chad kids would give me shit for almost no reason at all other than the fact that I was an easy target. I can vividly remember trying to explain to another kid how we cannot describe color with language in about 6th grade and how amazing that was and all he did was argue with me. That was an experience that I now realize highlighted the intellectual disconnect between myself and my peers. I did not understand that I was thinking in a different frame of mind than my peers, and did not try to tone down my glowing brain so that I could be understood. I have now learned to do that, but it still frustrates me when people cannot keep up. Being misunderstood is a major disadvantage of intellectual giftedness.

>I can vividly remember trying to explain to another kid how we cannot describe color with language
Thats a very fascinating observation, anon. But I beg to differ. Though I do believe it is impossible to describe colors to blind people, I do believe that colors ca be made known to blind people by relating them to emotions based on scientific data that shoes green alleviates anxiety and red has been known to cause rage within animals. What do you think?

It looks like everyone is gone, but to whoever may be reading this I just want to say I know theres something in your life you feel is missing or there's something you haven't accomplished yet. Well what on Earth could truly stop you from acquiring whats missing or doing what you want to do? If your only answer is fear then let it consume you. Only you truly know where you want to be in life, and the both of us know it isnt living in fear.

feeling pretty good, anon, your pics got me thinking a lot of moebius... familiar with him (pic related)? if you haven't seen it, heavy metal is a great flick from the 80s, all based on his art. as for tomorrow, might start a new book but haven't decided which yet.

Interesting. You know I've never seen anyone paint the emotions of a color wothout using the color itself on the canvas. I think it would be an interesting project if anyone tried.

Heavy Metal is a classic, gaining a cult following again even in this day and age! The taxi driver being the most memorable part of it for me. Also thanks for the art! Definately looks inspired by Mos Eisley from Star Wars. Then again retrofuture inspired Star Wars so it all makes sense.

The trouble is that a person who has never seen color has no context to go on. The truly paradoxical nature of color lies within the fact that it is a perception that our minds. Color does not exist outside the human mind. How do I know that my red looks the same as your red? For all I know, my red might look blue to you. It's an interesting philosophical dilemma.

You are 100% correct, anon, but only in this very thread was I forced to ask anyone for money. Someone from the previous thread linked above took pity on my Uniswap failures and decided to help me out since I will only be trading their generously donated crypto safely on Coinbase. Its a much better platform for beginners like me to start, and hopefully I find much more success on it.

Thanks for the explanation! Is it safe to say you are more troubled by the possibility that the concept of color itself is impossible for a blind person to understand or the possibility that variations of colors would be impossible for a blind person to understand?

The same way most of us are blind to other people's perception of emotions? Interesting take. I believe most confrontations could be avoided if people umderstood why people acted in certain ways without them believing it was in spite of their own egos or emotions.
