I'm somewhere between "malware analyst" and windows dev.
Most of my work is looking at current trends in malware and emulating them for my company to test endpoint security solutions against.
I used to be in peentesting but I dipped because it's full of people who are completely useless without CobaltStrike or Metasploit.
Legit if you get into information security with a strong programming foundation you'll make stupid progress.
>no HS degree
>no college degree
This industry is hurting so badly for people who are above mildly competent and you have to be insanely unlucky to find work that pays well.
Or at least unlucky to find a job that is "eh" to use as a springboard to get into something better after a year.
The turnover is fucking wild. A lot of my fmr teammates were only with my old companies for like... 1.5 years.
People just jump from place to place getting gradually more and more pay increases.

I've seen them on indeed but the descriptions are vague and you kinda have to search for them. If you want meaningful, fulfilling, backbreaking labor with hard deadlines and no schedule. The 2 biggest vault companies in the states are doric and Wilbert. Best just look for jobs on your own if you want them specifically.

The job:
>You do funerals. Everything is on you.
>You have 3000lb vault and no idea where you're going or what to expect but it needs to be done by the time the hearse gets there
>It's all on you whether the funeral happens no matter the circumstances
>You will be around very grieving people as you service the funeral so no pressure

Of course they'll train you but it doesn't matter if you can do it, it's will you do it. (You'll be in the best shape of your life if you do and have an interesting career)

Depending on the kind of tunnel you're stationed at base pay could be +/- 10% and there are special bonuses for hazardous tunnels too. I also own an engineering firm in the performance automotive industry. I do consulting work for race teams and performance shops and do 3D modeling and optimization of parts, then use my networks of manufacturing facilities around the world to put together a supply chain for them and if they don’t already have it in-house, I build software and hardware solutions to automate or streamline fulfillment. Yeah, a big reason imo is it requires upgrades to your equipment on site (stainless riser, stainless stinger tubes, compliant piping, different sensors, e85 compliant dispensers) so really most existing mom and pops won’t implement it because the profit just isn’t there for them to offset that cost. most regular gas stations won’t either - which for us is why we see mostly govt owned facilities using it, and large corporate stations with it. It’s really only popular with racers and some eco minded people outside of places that get some kind of financial benefit from it - even in super liberal areas

- give it time, cng and e85 will have to surge with more and more EV charge sites and vehicles on the road.

most of it gets sold as E10. believe it or not, you've more than likely been using it. It's even more efficient if you're using it WITH regular gasoline - it helps us get more miles / BTU out of regular gasoline.

IMO the best bang for your buck ends up being E30 for regular vehicles, E50 for flex fuel. I have lots of very complete data sets around this if interested.

So yeah -most is sold to gas stations as E10, despite the fact no one even knows it lmao

>Anon, tell me more about your retail experience.

It's tolerable, I was placed at a store that's actually run pretty well so we manage to clean things up before the store closes.

There are other stores in the district that are so dysfunctional, so understaffed and so backed up that there literally prescriptions in the queue that were supposed to have been filled a week prior. If I get transferred to one of those I will quit on the spot, if they force me to be manager at a store like that (or any store desu) I will also quit on the spot.

>How are you hanging in during the covid crunch?
Our store lucked out and doesn't do covid tests, so that keeps the drive-thru from being gummed up, and nobody from corporate has given us even a faint idea of when we're getting covid shots, but I don't look forward to the day when we do start givng out covid shots. I expect to be ambushed by people an hour before opening the pharmacy, to have people beg me for any leftover shots, have people scream at me as to why they have to set up appointments etc.

I asked to be made per-diem and they let me do it, regardless of how well-run a store is I'm just sick to death of arguing with retards at the drive-thru as to why their insurance plan won't pay for Zyrtec-D or some other crap. Doing 8 to 12-hour shifts 4-5 times a week with no lunch break is something I simply cannot do anymore, so now I work 2, maybe 3 days a week while I go look for another job and try to switch careers.

I tried my hand at being the night-shift 7-on 7-off guy, I didn't last too long. I couldn't turn my sleep-cycle upside down like that, and to make matters worse, during the daytime it was one of those nightmare stores that I described above: the daytime staff all fucking hated each other and when I got there to start my night shift, there was so much shit left over from the day crew that I could barely leave a dent in the nighttime tasks. Fucking awful.

You can probably tell what ocmpany I work for.

errrrr. I don't think so. Anything post late 90's is fine. Just no natural rubber from the mid 90's on back.

I have a 1969 cub cadet that i've run on E30 for years no issue.

I have a small fleet of vintage snowmobiles (1978-1981) that have all run on E30 (replaced fuel tubing with modern) for several years now.

my vehicle and wife's vehicle are flex fuel so we use E50, but my old car and her old car we used E30 in (2003 monte carlo & 2001 mazda tribute)

All my family has non-flex vehicles and uses E30 with no issues.

The ONLY caveat, is high performance air cooled engines. Because E30 has ~10% less BTU's / gal, if an air cooled engine uses it it can get hot. So think small 2 stroke engines.

Other than that, there's no issue.

I enjoyed reading this anon, I have a pretty good fucking idea who you work for because it sounds like my limited experience to a T. I interned at a lower volume competitor, I really had no idea how truly bad things were here until I got here. I feel much the same re: quitting on the spot if they try and fuck me with a disaster store, ain't isn't worth the pain, I'd sooner go part time at an independent.

I was somewhat blessed in the sense that I was covering leave at a very organized store that allowed me to complete most of my overnight tasks every night, but wow is the 7 on 7 off brutal by the end of the on week, and readjusting to normalcy in the off week.

Curiously, how long have you been in the game and how old are you now? What else are you looking to get into? I'm assuming if you're on biz you're also stacking crypto to build yourself an exit raft. Seriously good luck in the coming months, I don't think the general public has a clue how enormous a strain this vaccine rollout is going to be on pharmacy staff. My store has been responsible for clinic registration and vaccinating local staff and it's already pushing us to our limits, I shudder to think what is going to happen when the floodgates open.

Combination of having massive respect for the body from learning A+P in highschool + being a /fit/izen, Wanting to help people, and also just enjoy touching people
Most places offer an essential oil massage that's just an extra 10-20 bucks for scented oils, if you really believe in the stuff then hey good for you, but not really worth it in my book, Usually a basic swedish massage will get the job done, probably most places to get any decent pressure will have to pay for deep tissue. Hot stone massage can be gimmick depending on the therapist, but with the right therapist can be both very relaxing and therapeutic, basically using ultra hot hands to massage into the muscle, but most therapists just do stuff too light.

Massage forearms is definitely a thing in the business. Triceps not so much. Most pressure being put into people should come from the core/hips, so if your bis/tris are getting tired you're technique is probably fucked,

27, I only got licensed 3 years ago, this job is very, very bad for my health and I fear I'll drop dead in my 30s if I continue doing this.

>What else are you looking to get into?
It's the subject of mockery now (lmao learn to code!!!1), but I dabbled in programming before pharmacy school and I would like to continue that. I doubt I could compete with the wizards who have been doing this professionally since they were literal teenagers, and I have my doubts as to whether I'll ever be good enough to get paid for it, but it is somewhat enjoyable.

I'll be completely honest, if you're smart enough to pass college level A+P you're good to go in terms of any massage schooling. For most people this is a 2nd/3rd career. I practice in new york so it took me 1000 hours, but i'm pretty sure most states are half that or even less, so it should be a fairly easy thing for most people to get, can't attest to wages in other states though.

I wish I was joking about this but I literally just winged it.. I was hand-fabricating performance parts already. I had a few people who wanted something which I had made for myself so I made more... then more interest. It was very time consuming. I had already taught myself CAD (fusion360) drone YouTube tutorials so that I could have flanges and stuff like that cut for me.... decided to model out some entire parts and see what it would cost to have them cast for me. I joined metal casting groups on Facebook and found representatives for Chinese foundries.... got quotes. Turned out the bulk of the price was in mould tooling... first transaction was a sketchy wire transfer. I paid some random person on the other side of the planet over $5000 and it made my stomach unsteady... but eventually a box of my parts came. I found out after that the moulds belong to me and I only had to pay that once... modeled more parts and made them... made more contacts and sold more parts. I started an e-commerce site and then started visiting performance shops and pitching product development to them. I landed a few contracts. Eventually fulfillment was an issue for me and I found a local company which handled logistics. I figured everything out as I went and handled the logistics of it myself.

The engineering work which I had done for my own company was later enough to have two of the largest aerospace companies in the world accept me when I didn’t even have a degree. I one was going to pay retarded money and was 20 mins from my house.... the other paid way less and was 1,000mi away on a beach in FL.... I chose the beach. No regrets. The aerospace industry is massive around here and I’m saving a ton of money on the cost of living and commercial space so it evens out.

I missed answering part of your question. I went to those companies with a written proposal, promotional materials with testimonials and examples of products. I put a lot of time into it creating spreadsheets which ROI factored in from facilities costs, labor costs for fabricators, etc... I also paid for testing of hand fabricated and cast parts with CAD designed transitions and flow optimization to prove that the parts weren’t just more affordable but actually better.

Sometimes it’s a waste of a lot of time pitching potential business deals but it only takes a few ongoing contracts to really pay off.

In short:
Proposal -> negotiation of terms -> lawyers draft contract -> both parties sign

Always line up more manufacturing capacity than you promise and have at least two backup agreements on your end. Never put them in direct contact with the manufacturer unless it’s part of a consultation deal and is in your contract/they’re paying for facilitation. Once they get in line with the manufacturers, they don’t need you.
