>What is Litecoin?

From Wikipedia: Litecoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and open-source software project released under the MIT/X11 license. Litecoin was an early bitcoin spinoff or altcoin, starting in October 2011. In technical details, Litecoin is nearly identical to Bitcoin.

>Why invest?

>Reliable and tested coin that's almost as old as BTC
>Cheaper fees compared to BTC
>Widely accepted on reputable sites like Paypal
>Grayscale investment firm has bought 200 million dollars worth in the recent months and are still accumulating
>MWB privacy update coming soon
>Has not reached its ATH yet like BTC or ETH have
>Top ten crypto for close to a decade

>Where to buy?

Any crypto exchange really. LTC has tenure and can be reliably bought just about anywhere. If you're new, here's some suggestions.

>Coinbase
>Blockfolio
>Kraken
>Binance
>Paypal

Boomers are too deep in denial to do anything. They're staring at the edge of the cliff which is about to collapse in a mudslide but if your house is on it then it's hard to leave. Sure the smart ones are abandoning the dollar but I think we're going to see some really tragic shit with boomers losing everything and being too old to do anything about it. LTC/BTC ratio is down from a high (TODAY) of

278 LTC = 1 BTC

to

242 LTC (TODAY) = 1 BTC

A reminder that the ratio is STILL at absurdly ridiculous historical highs. Our historical norms is under 200 LTC = 1 BTC with some periods as low as under 100 LTC to 1 BTC .... for you new folks you can see for yourself by setting your crypto to LTC on CoinMarketCap then looking at the “all” chart under BTC.

You will note the highest ratio ever was over 300 LTC to purchase 1 BTC. THIS WAS IN FEBRUARY 2017 FOUR YEARS AGO. By May 2017 the ratio had recovered to a crazy 60 LTC = 1 BTC.

What did this mean in fiat? In feb 2017 LTC was $4. By May 2017 we spiked to $25 USD (X 6). In December 2017 we went to $400 (X 100).

They say LTC and BTC ratios oscillate in 4 year cycles. Is it true? I don’t know but 60 LTC = 1 BTC where BTC = $100,000 (doable this cycle imho) is an LTC valued at $1666 USD

And that’s conservative. If btc were to go hyperbolic and hits say $200,000 at peak at 60:1 thats a $3333 LTC

How much money have retards pumped into worthless (ie limitless) Doge coins and governance tokens for defi projects? At least $20 billion. These things are short lived and you're the deluded nikka if you think otherwise. All of that money will be rushing out into the coins people can actually use in real life to purchase shit with. Take a look at the coins merchants are accepting. The coins market leading processing companies (paypal, visa, mastercard, etc) allow/are about to allow. All of the short term trends will turn to these. BCH and LTC are the obvious answer if you have the slightest bit of foresight. The current environment of scam tokens has crescendo'd. Just take one look at the catalog and that much is obvious. I'd highly suggest reading the room.

>Having operated multiple secure, safe, scalable payment networks around the world for many years, Mastercard is committed to bringing that experience to emerging blockchain networks and digital currencies. Our participation in these initiatives are guided by the same principles we apply to our own networks. They must:

>Provide strong consumer protection, including privacy and security of the consumers’ information and transactions;

>Deliver a level playing field for all stakeholders, including but not limited to financial institutions, merchants, and mobile network operators to contribute and benefit from the blockchain networks; and

Also worth mentioning how companies like Twitter and Mastercard are said to become more accepting of crypto and BTC. Anything good for BTC is good for LTC and the market as a whole. This isn't something investors and companies can ignore now.

Stressful? All you have to do is forget you own litecoin for a few years and you'll make it. It's one cycle behind bitcoin with 1/4 the price because 4x supply.

>> No.28362883

$1000 LTC is honestly selling it short. If we see a repeat of Fall 2017-Winter 2018, we could see above $4000 LTC as everyone FOMOs in. People will inevitably sell at $1000 because that's the price target they have in their heads, but after a dip and LTC goes beyond that, people will jump back in. We could also see the ratio break away from the expected 0.02-0.025 and hit 0.05 even, it's happened before. I can't discount the power of institutional money and new normie money this time around

BCH is not a bad play either BUT unlike Litecoin it doesn't have any major news lined up for March, isn't being accumulated by Greyscale nearly as much and isn't as widely available to normies through Paypal and stuff so if I were to place my bets it would be on LTC
also lower price per coin psychology

Honestly depends on the circumstances. I'd be satisfied at cashing out half my stack at $500 and holding the rest to see where it goes or just use it to buy shit. Keep in mind that this general is a tiny fraction of the total LTC holders out there so coordinating any plan is largely futile. I'd say if the momentum past $420 keeps going, we ride it for the long haul and shoot for 1k
