Lucid motors is the next Tesla. They have technology, factories, and stores, and production begins this quarter. They are rumored to merge with the blank check firm CCIV. The chairman of Lucid is a partner at CCIV and is an advisor at the Saudi PIF, who invest a billion into lucid

Lucid has some of the best battery tech around. They make the batteries for formula E. Their car the Air has a max range of 517 miles and can charge 300 miles in 20 minutes.

Unlike Lucid, Toyota has been pioneering battery tech since the early 2000s through Panasonic for their Prius lineup (they're already vertically integrated to help with R&D/drive down costs on the 5+ million hybrids they sell a year).

It's also more realistic to actually come out within the next 2-3 years vs constantly being pushed back.

That and they've been building the best cars on the market in terms of build quality/durability/engineering for over 100 years so you won't see Tesla/1976 Chevy build quality on a $50-70,000 car.

A better shill company is ACTC (SPAC for Proterra; this already has several successful contracts for electric buses in major cities including NYC MTA along with 1000+ buses sold + partnership w/Komatsu for EV Heavy Equipment battery tech)

Lucid motors will only produce luxury cars and will leave mainstream manufacturing to Tesla

If this goes trough we will see a rise of x2-3 in one day. But they are waiting way to long. I bought at 15$ sold my initial investment. So if I lose this bet I don't care

Toyota has been developing batteries two fucking decades and still lost to Tesla? Fuck that company is going to sink fast when evs are starting to become mainstream

Tesla uses batteries from multiple manufacturers not just Panasonic.
Toyota couldn't produce proper ev in 2 decades while there were clear demand, so I would say that they lost.

If company size of Toyota can't compete with the company that just began production few years ago it is done for
It's time for old giants to die and new companies to take their place and this is exactly what is happening.
