DOGE is a meme coin and super high risk, in case you don't know. I mean, hey, maybe this will change now, but usually, you could expect it to drop down to below a cent for whatever reason, then get pumped to 2 or 3 cents, then down again. Who knows, might reach a dollar one day, it's totally crazy world right now. But I really don't expect it.

i won't tell you what to go in on, but casting that wide of a net will not help you make money. market cap is generally the best indicator of what you should do. high caps are safer, but have smaller returns. low caps are riskier, but can have crazy returns.

It sure does help mitigate losses. It reduces the extremes. You will have much less of a chance to double or triple your investment overnight, but you also have much less of a chance of losing it all when your chosen coin crumbles for whatever reason. It doesn't even have to be due to a lack of judgment or research or quality of the project. Just one unforeseen event can kill it, like a security breach or whatever - you wake up to some unfortunate tweets and an empty portfolio. Or it just gets dumped on by some impatient whale with a massive stack from the ICO, and the price takes days or weeks to recover. Or you fall for a meme coin or a general PnD.
I'm not advising against diversifying. It's a valid strategy for people who want to play it safe (or at least safer than putting all your eggs in one basket).
