28197226 No.28197226 [Reply] [Original]

The official general for everything Bancor Related. You can discuss anything here, from staking to the current and future governance proposals.

So how are you guys doing staking wise? I started 2 weeks ago and I'm absolutely blown the fuck away. Not is only the UI far mor intuitive than Uniswap, but it shows way more info about what you're currently making and what you can expect. How are your experiences staking, frens?

Do you guys see some room for improvements?
I myself would like to have the current multiplier added to each stake amount, to clearly see what the current multiplier is. This should be for each stake of course, as most people have different stakes at diferent timepoints.

My current staking rewards, see pic related.
This is in a 2 week timeframe, but there is a lot of spread in my stakes. Most of it has been done 3 days ago.

Currently making a bit more than 400 bnt a day. Have around 45k in usd value link staked. The rest is all BNT.

The pools which I'm in are Link,Dai,USDT and USDC

I have never gotten an answer to this one. What mechanism exists to ensure the price of BNT is going up?

BNT holders receive BNT
TKN holders receive BNT

The IL is insured by BNT, so whatever happens it's paid for by BNT (minted or otherwise)

Those are some good points, but I don’t agree with all of those. See my explanation below:
>The blinking LM reward timer on the front page is confusing as hell
It's there to show how much time is left for the LM mining rewards to end. Would you rather have it not showing at all and be suprised when you stake? Or do you think it can be done better? Would like to know.
>I want to see the LM reward multiplier per position
You can see that, fren. Those percentages you see by each pool, those are the multipliers. However, there's a toolbox that explains that the full effect of the multiplier is spread over 4 weeks. This is done of course to incentivize people to keep people staking.

> I want better UX for restaking, maybe autostaking and a button to migrate my staked positions to another wallet without having to unstake and re-stake again.
This one I do agree with. Especially the autostaking option should be considered. I do wonder if the gas costs could make this option risky to use. I would rather restake myself during a time when the gass costs are lower than have an automated process decide this for myself.
The migration part should be possible. However, it would mean losing your IL protection and multiplier. I wouldn’t agree with making these last while migrating as it makes it too easy to migrate to greener pastures, as they say.

Can't open items from the menu on the left in new tabs, loading times are slow and sometimes the protection page is filled with zeroes even though the wallet's connected. I stake through a trezor and metamask, but most normies I know do all their trading on mobile - uniswap, binance, cb, it doesn't matter, it all gets done on mobile - so I thought I'd check the page out and have a look around. I appreciate that these are all things that can be easily fixed, yet in their current state they remain issues. Another thing I'd point out is low participation in governance, which I'd chalk up to gas fees, even though there are workarounds.

It's a bit unfair to compare this to a CEX, though, don't you think? This is also not made for normies obviousley.
The low participation I completely agree with. 100% sure this is because of the insane gass fess atm. There is currently a governance proposal for a gass less voting system see the link below. I have full confidence this will be fixed.

you're a fucking retard. your logic is that bancor is pajeet shit, and that therefore link whales are falling for pajeet shit.
nigger, bancor is about to have the highest link liquidity out there, and it's UNI and SUSHI that are the literal pajeet knockoffs

Ask me how I know you're poor. I'm one of the whale LINK holders. Why wouldnt I put my LINK there? I maintain 100% long position + swap fees + Lm rewards for literally holding my LINK. I also have a decnt stack of BNt which is earning me around 400 USD per day equivalent.

Lets talk about the machnism of IL mitigation by Bancor or their tokenomics/ Bancor vortex, etc and how it all ties in together. I be tyou can't because you havent fucking read up anything on it and have just assumed that the team that MADE THE FUCKING CONSTANT PRODUCT PROTOCOL FOR AMMS has now conceived and implemented IL PROTECTION; Mike novogratz applaued their bounary pushing + pioneering. I 150% guarantee you havent read how it works and just browse crypto twitter doing fuck all.

But yeah, stay poor you absolute <70 IQ dimwit faggot.

1: Fees burn BNT (the LINK/BNT and ETH/BNT pool burned 2% of the BNT supply in 75 days)
2: BNT is incorporating a new fee for impermeant loss insurance, which will be used to burn vBNT

Thanks OP, these are the best threads on biz right now. One thing that is still not completely clear for me, with regards to IL insurance, are LPs compensated in their staked token? For example, if i stake 10k link, and link pumps 50% and my claimable value goes down to 9500 link, as long as i stay in the pool for at least 100 days, im able to withdraw the full 10k link i started with right? Some of the ways people describe IL insurance makes it sound like LPs are compensated with BNT tokens, so if they lose 500 link for example, they're compensated with 500 link equivalent of BNT, which doesnt sound very appealing, i want to at least be able to withdraw my initial stake+fees.

they cite many white papers in what is a generally decent primer on defi tech
bancor, UNI and other liquidity protocols are explicitly mentioned, and one of cronje's papers is in the citations

it's equvialent. so when a pool is filled up, the experience will be the same as with other LPs unfortunately. expect pools to expand, though. it's a very nice feature for people who were already willing to stake BNT + their token though
