That's a sound strategy yeah. Half of your portfolio in an ETF is quite conservative but given it's only £500 then that's fine. If you ever need that money consider it like an overdraft, and if your holding is ever red it won't go deeply red for long (like March).
Tech and green energy will do well over the next few years but bear in mind weed is more of a swing play rather than long-term investing.
As pro-weed news comes out of US and it heads towards federal legalisation and that shite you should be taking profits and selling. A lot of the companies themselves aren't actually very good, it's hard to pick winners long-term in an emerging market because others will lose, and it's naive to believe that these companies now will be the big leaders in the weed industry over tobacco companies.
They should return great gains but they're not stocks to retire on in 20 years.
