You people and Elon are all deluded faggots, everything is going to come crashing down and you're all going to regret not investing in things that have actual value.

>b-but my bitcoins are gonna be worth 500 billion each

Elon is gonna get fucked in the ass by the SEC, all exchanges are going to exit scam and in 2030 you're all going to be living on the streets when your landlord refuses to accept your 100000 doggo coins worth half a cent.

I knew about BTC back in 2010. All my libtard friends warned me away from it. They told me it was a waste of electricity. They said it was a scam, that it would never go anywhere. They said it was used only for illegal, off-the-books transactions without any government oversight, and that by using it, I would be seen as latently criminal and probably put on some sort of list. They told me only lolbertarians would ever want to stop using perfectly good gubmint fiat money and use fake internet blockchain money.

Thats not quite true. If you would copy the bitcoin protokoll and run your own chain you would have 100% hash power. As bitcoin is susceptible to 51% attack your chain would be worthless, as the value proposition of 'unforgeable, hard to come by' would not be fulfilled by your chain.
And its the same problem for most altcoins. The smaller a coin is, the easier it is for the core developers to hardfork and influence supply (e.g mining rewards). Thats why for example the eth hardfork after the dao incident was such a big deal.
Anyway I am not arguing for bitcoin. I am arguing for crypto vs other stores of value.

You may be right, you dont need divisibility, transferability and unforgeability or at least not anymore than what fiat already offers you.
For other people that may be different.
But lets go to the last attribute I mentioned: hard to come by. Fiat gets printed as fast as possible. Any central bank can immediately increase money supply thousandfold. This happened many times in human history, for example during pretty much every war and is currently happening because of the trade war between china, america and europe. Whats your argument against that?

Bitcoin offered a UVP versus fiat or gold.
Your chain would offer no UVP versus bitcoin. Yes you could shill your chain and maybe get a few people to buy into it, but as you offer no value compared to any other crypto I would call that a scam. You offer nothing, and talk people into buying your worthless bags.Thats pretty much a textbook definition of a scam.

I agree with you. Every single coin shilled on biz is already pre-pumped to 2000%. Some might say it's about staying ahead of the curve, doing research, and investing in projects that have not been discovered yet. This is of course a bunch of bullshit. Want to know how some people are consistently "discovering" new x100's? A dev gets together a t*legram group to shill his project that is copied directly off github. The group members come up with a cute animal or food mascot and make a bunch of pepe/wojak memes. Dev sells ICOs to shills. Shills promote the project on social media. Normies pump the coin, shills/dev pull the rug. Rinse and repeat.

That is pretty much the recipe for creating a successful defi startup.

Because a car may offer the same value as another car, but one of your coins does not offer the same value as one bitcoin. In fact, its not about the number of coins you own. Forget the coins now and think about it this way: I want to store the value of 10$. In bitcoin its stored pretty secure and easily accessable. In your chain its not very secure because of low hashrate. So why would I ever put my 10$ into your chain when it offers no benefit versus btc? I could place my 10$ into monero and get anonymity. Or into IOTA and get free and fast transactions. Or into ethereum and use it to run contracts. They all offer something unique. Not a single altcoin is a carbon copy of bitcoin, because it makes no sense. You cant make money with this except by scaming people.
