I hold oil midstreams(pipelines) for dividends. ENB & TRP. They're a toll booth business, they own the means of transportation, Govt subsidizes the pipelines, long term contracts. 6%+ yields. Our banks are rock solid for dividends as well. Railways have decimals for dividends, so i pass on those. NTR if you want a agriculture dividend play, largest potash producer world-wide.

I hold SU, as a main turnaround/dividend play. I think it'll bounce back to mid 40s. Then i'll bail for a quick double(1-2yrs) CNQ for a natural gas play, good dividend. Yeah, The fees suck. i use TD, tempted to use questrade (5.99) but i like the easy of liquidity, and the bank gets to see how big my dick is, makes getting low interest loans and lines of credit easier.
