I feel obligated to do this, out of a sense of responsibility.
I created a project where I planed on using iexec as an off chain trusted compute component, as I had heard it could be used for cheap and fast "complex" computations in a trusted maner just like a smart contract.
I was so wrong, it's extremelly slow and expesive to use it that way. Its only use case is something no one asked for and no one is using it for: finil computing tasks you can use other services for like AWS and Gcloud for the same amount of security and much less hassle.
Iexec is NOT a "descentralized cloud", what it provides is a 0.0000000001% of what AWS and gcloud can provide BUT at a more expensive, slower, honestly dumber way.
While I was working with it, I saw NO ONE using it either on the mainet nor in any testnet.
I think it was just a little experiment.
It will never have success outside of some partnetships and whatnot. It will never be used in the real world, certainly not in a way for the toekn to have any demand.
Just let it go anon, and buy JRT instead.
