Start a position in good semiconductor picks for protecting capital, but put the bulk of your money elsewhere for bigger gains, preferably something that's a good play for LEAPs

or maybe look into UMC since it's the smaller taiwanese semiconductor company. HAven't looked into it too deeply myself but if you believe TSM is getting spillover effect from not being able to meet demand, then UMC is probably the next best play

- Their ability to get their GMO stuff to people's tables;
- Their ability to pivot into a non-GMO company if they fail.
They are still 20x undervalued for #2, and easily 200x undervalued for #1.
