See I am just thinking that in a few years everybody will need LINK to run a SmartContract. That means you have ever increasing demand without the need of investors that buy your coin, like it's with BTC the case. BTC would not be that big, if it wouldn't be the currency, everything is traded with. Also it's the oldest one and the biggest network blabla, I know.
But still, it takes people to actually buy it.
LINK on the other hand will have a higher demand in a few years. And higher demand means higher price, because the amount of LINK is limited. Once people start to understand LINK, then I don't see a reason why you wouldn't buy LINK instead of BTC, as you know that there is ever increasing demand for it. So you have investors coming in as well and buying it up.
But yeah, I don't know if I am just delusional here. I guess we have to see. But I think $10k per LINK is easily possible
