I'll readily admit that I don't understand crypto well, by any means. But this shit looks like such a gamble. Full of shit coins and literal scams. What's the point? Speculative value and volatility. Honestly what's the point? Do you have yourself convinced that you're not gambling?

>> No.27965078

Life is a gamble you stupid fucking idiot. Choose red or black or green and never let go. Ride it to the top or clutch it all the way down, the house always wins.

It is gambling, but the odds are good if you learn the game, much better than the casino. The reason people do this is because it is too hard to 'make it' the traditional route of wage slaving and 401k/etf/mutual fund investments which take 20 years to make 1mil. I started with 20k and made 1mil 3 years into starting crypto trading, and now in my 4th year (this bull run) I am close to 4mil. Of course short cuts aren't meant to be easy, just put in more work than 90% of the other people on this board and you will make it.

And why would I want to compete with legitimate professionals who study this shit for 12 hours a day? Crypto is mostly rich retards and their 'smart moves' are generally just using their capital to brute force the market in some caveman-tier way. Much easier to make a profit.

"playing it safe" is a suckers game. I understand, but you've got to get over it if you want to make it in any way, shape, or form.
starting a business is risky as fuck, hoping you won't outlive your savings is just as risky.
all you can do is learn and take advantage of the risk/reward paradigm. if you win 20% of the time but that 20% is a 20x, you're killing it. blackjack isn't gambling if you know how to count.

First off, gambling is fun. Secondly there are ways to mitigate the risk, research, diversify, take profits, DCA in. What you are saying is basically akin to people saying fps games with spread are luck based because to some degree the accuracy is rng. Thirdly most of life can be called a gamble, you gamble your life away everyday you drive for the benefit of getting somewhere, you gamble that bitch you marry wont screw you over.

What else would you do with your money? hold fiat while the govt doubles the supply in a year? buy a house when the market it could crash anyday? stocks? silver? everything is a gamble to some degree.

Ok fag.
Bitcoin's beta is about 8.
Now go, actually do this, go and find a ten year chart and take annual returns from it.
Now do the same thing on the S&P.
Compare the average annual return on bitcoin to the average annual return on the S&P the past ten years.
You had 8x the volatility in bitcoin. BUT on an nominal basis you got paid 2700x more. On a risk adjusted basis you got paid 900x more.
Guess what else. If you had a portfolio that was 90% cash, 10% bitcoin, past ten years, you absolutely smoked a 100% equities portfolio and you did it with a fraction of the risk.
So tell me again about making "safer" returns.
