I mean it's not really risky to lose out on potential gains. Last week I covered called all my Gme at $110 when the price closed at like $350 on Friday. Obviously that was a huge paper loss but I still sold way above my price point and collected a juicy premium, and of course it was better off I sold at that price in the end. One good thing about covered calls also is it prevents brokerages from loaning out your stocks to short sellers and also prevents you from selling in the meantime, which helps drive up the prices even more. If anything I feel it is a more conservative way to help out the GME movement, exchanging the potential for truly massive gains by reducing risk, but still help driving up price movement
