Ada doesn't even have smart contracts, let alone a smart contact ecosystem yet. If low fees were the main issue, everyone would have migrated to any of the other eth killers years ago, but they are all zombie chains. You really think Ada can develop an entire ecosystem before eth can finish eth2? Because that is the bare minimum that needs to happen before it can even consider taking over eth.

ETH's whole mantra in the past was that its better tech than BTC. BTC doesn't market itself as the best tech but instead as a move against the government money printers, with a conservative development philosophy that prioritizes safety of funds over features. People like that and buy regardless of others having better tech because it makes sense for what its trying to achieve.

ETH choosing the better tech and utility route has made it ripe for a shit ton of competition because you can out compete something on utility/better tech. I still dont think its doom and gloom for ETH and its network effects will keep it on top in regards to smart contracts for some time to come, but there isnt going to be a successful bout of ETH maximalism like there was with BTC. There may not be ETH killers, but there will be a lot of successful ETH competitors that eat away at its dominance over time.
