Here's a scenario that I think is likely to play out: Tell me why this is dumb, you fucks.

There have been many cases of whales buying in this dip to only confirm my suspicions. The ~1.5mil $20 call which expires 2/12, Blackrock adding ~3mil shares and Dave Portnoy buying back after selling. (who even does this? I know hes retarded but it seems to be that he now knows something).

Anyway, I think come 2/9 we will see a hype grow for meme stocks again due to the high short% being confirmed in the fintel (or whoever) releases. With this rise the hype will continue to increase as we saw in the first spike, but this time to a higher peak. This is, in my non financial adviser brain, why we saw that $20 call for 2/12 and why we see big names buying this dip.

The BlackRock thing happened in December as far as I can tell. I heard Dave Portnoy bought back in but didn't look into it, might just be a rumor. A big part of the reason AMC is so deeply in debt (besides the fact that they followed the Mattress Firm school of business where opening up two theaters on every street corner somehow makes sense) is because they had to spent billions playing catch up with all their competitors in the last couple years. They were absolute last to adding all those "premium" theater features. It's a hole they will never climb out of, unironically.
