I work at a german company that operates internationally with like 25-30k wageslaves.
We had a "TEAMBUILDING" event shortly before the covid situation.

Part of it was doing the fucking Macarena dance. There was no escape, the doors were literally locked. Something died inside of me that day, it was by far the worst day in my adult life. I feel fucking raped, forced to do this bullshit with people artound me. Oh my fucking god waging is nothing but agony.

company culture is a pretty important dynamic of the workplace. A shitty job, or situation that happens at the job, can be made better if you at least have a good group of colleagues. Likewise a group of shitty people can be a really big negative impact on morale. Negative, manipulative, and lazy employees are not only a detriment on whatever task they were hired to do but bring everyone down as a whole. It's very important to get rid of these people as soon as possible.
The work is just the work. It doesn't get better or worse and if you don't like it you can simply do work elsewhere, just know that every job has downsides which is part of the whole reason you are compensated in the first place.

I think a lot of the silly team bonding stuff is organized by clueless managers who think they are Jeff Bezos because they read a book on leadership or did a meme night course on business management. Walmart fucking blows. Never work there unless you are absolutely desperate for work. I wouldn't even do it temporary. I worked there for 3 years when they opened up a superstore in my town and they thought it was a wonderful idea to do diversity hires and hire literal ghetto trash straight out of East St. Louis. Got harassed by nignogs and one guy walked into my freezer to threaten to kill me after work over some perceived imaginary issue and the managers did nothing.

Didn't have a problem with customers at all. Management was just incompetent. And they were wondering why they were losing tens of thousands of dollars from their own co-workers. Associates ended up getting fired for stealing around 100k worth of stuff over a period of months. I thought i'd be great to earn extra cash while going to school but if I had to go back I'd just quit within a month or two. So happy I don't work there anymore and I never shop there for any reason. Have almost 300k saved up and feeling good right now and those guys are probably dead or in prison anyways, so all is well. Thanks for reading.

I've worked jobs like this, as other anons have said I think its a way to demorolize people and weed out people that are too smart that will question things and stir up trouble.
