I fucked up majorly the other day and I don't know what to do. I went full retard and tried to chase the GME and SLV pumps and got cucked out of $600. I had 45k ADA but now not only did I lose $600 but I missed out on like almost 40% increase of potential profit because of the recent ADA pumps.

I'm trying so hard right now to not FOMO back in with all of these cunt faggots who are getting in late when a year ago I had over 110k ADA and am down only because I decided to buy a fuckin car with half my stack a few months back.

I'm trying so hard not to FOMO guys. I just want a 40% correction at least. I want to at least get back in under .40 and it's looking like it ain't happening. Should I just an hero? I missed my only chance at escaping wage cuckery. I can't do it anymore. I'll blow my brains out if I have to work a retail job ever again. I'd rather sleep on the streets.

Eth smells bad. I thought it was incredible right up until immutable code got rolled back to protect the brand image. That said, the idea there's going to be some dominant coin, even in a particular niche like dApps, and everything else will go to zero, is fucking retarded. It doesn't matter how much better at scaling you get compared to bitcoin: Even with centralized systems that are far more efficient current demand supplies multiple services, and that's with most of the world excluded. And the idea that there will be a coin that not only does everything but does it well is insanely retarded. Eth will be big business's bottom bitch. Bitcoin will likely be a world reserve currency solely because of first mover and a lack of central influence. Tons of other coins will be used for particular niches, competing with each other and fiatcoins like Eth and Bitcoin (fiat meaning the powers that be declare them kosher by edict) to keep prices low and innovation (well, not Bitcoin) flowing.

Has there been any research into running verified code on cloud services securely? It's my understanding dApp coins have the code written to the blockchain, and then it gets executed on the ledger. This will always have performance penalties. Has there been any research into a protocol that allows code/binaries to be distributed to a blockchain to be verified, but then for execution the network executes them on an actual machine, without the host being able to know what is being executed or to interfere with it? Similar to how Freenet works?

>> No.27814671

On-chain code for what needs to run on-chain. Off-chain code for what needs to run off-chain. right now for ETH devs have to write both in different languages and then not fuck it all up and they fuck it up all the time, so they have to pay for formal verification services if they can afford it, and most do not. In Cardano, you program in a single environment and Plutus will give you both the on-chain code and the off-chain code for you. Plus Cardano is getting Quick-Check for plutus which devs will get for free.

>> No.27815217

>>27814671
Right. I guess what I'm getting at is the problem with traditional centralized services is that even if they publish the code their server is running, you can't verify that without access to the machine. With on-chain code you can verify what is being executed, but the performance is bad. I'm wondering if there's a protocol, or research, into a way to execute public code without trust of the person hosting the machine it gets ran on.
>I publish nudiegirl_exchange.exe to the blockchain
>people can verify the integrity of the executable (let's say with hashing)
>the network takes the executable and allocates server time for it
>a machine(s) begin executing the program
>the people with physical access to the servers not only can't access the executable (it's my understanding current cloud providers hypothetically have this privacy enable), they don't know which of the programs distributed to the blockchain is being executed (similar to how with Freenet you don't know what content you're hosting)
>the network compensates cloud providers with crypto
>when the program outputs, by nature of the protocol users are certain it was produced with the publicly available code
