It means that this was all by design. The meme virus hoax was a controlled demolition on the real economy. The stock market is just doing infinite pump because the dollar is being inflated like crazy. But normal people don't notice it because the inflation isn't going into the consumer economy. It's all pumping straight into the stock market. This is financial vampirism sucking the purchasing power of people savings and real assets to zero. Society transforming economic centralization. We're in a new world now. It's going to get way wackier as this process continues

Stock market is 90% speculation based on future value so as long as the fed goes brrrrrrr people believe the underlying fundamentals of the companies are going to still be true post covid and for the most part that's probably true with the exception of things that were pretty much on life support already. My only surprise has been the lack of inflation and my guess is in this specific scenario where everyone is fucked across the board with liquidity problems and that most of the money is being given out in super low interest loans is offsetting the normal inflationary effects of money printing.

Stocks are not affected just by being in an ETF (after they were included anyways), they are affected by the inflows and outflows of said ETF. If you predict people buying into an ETF you can buy before them and vice versa.
You can also front run inclusion into a popular ETF of course, but you need to hear the rumor early on before it's actually included, and it doesn't happen that often anyways.

It's a trailing indicator in the sense that it's reflective of investor sentiment, not the cause of it. It's a """leading indicator""" of recession only because it takes two quarters of GDP shrinkage to make a recession, which is a long ass time.

Also, we remember all the times it predicted a recession, but not the times it didn't. Where was the recession that accompanied the March 2019 yield curve inversion? (And no, it can't be our current situation, unless you're saying bonds predicted corona.)

>>27802605
>If you have a rising dollar and falling 10 year yield along with a consistent decline in the market
Here's the problem: sometimes that just happens naturally. For example, Jan 2015 had a rising dollar, a falling 10-year yield, as well as a declining market. If you had sold then and switched to a short position, you would have been burned as the market then shot up almost 100%.

That's why you don't get it. The play isn't to short, it's to take profits and observe. If it crashed then short away but you're asking how can we preserve our capital gains and I'm telling you by taking these precautions. You'll be right most of the time, and if you aren't, then the worst that happens is you miss out on profits. Better safe than sorry given those metrics that will be right most of the time.
If you're asking how to I make money from shorting, I have no idea. I'm not a shorter. The only time I've done it was in March and that's because the circuit breakers made it pretty obvious

You're missing the point. The point is that those kinds of indicators are weak at best. A good indicator would be good enough to short on.

>You'll be right most of the time, and if you aren't, then the worst that happens is you miss out on profits
See pic related. The problem with weak indicators: if you're right, and manage to miss a significant portion of the dip, you'll lose just as much potential profit missing the inevitable upwards jump. A few days make up most of you're profit. You'll also lose a lot of potential gains having cash just sit there. Even the best investors like Warren Buffett, with huge amounts of capital and data at their disposal, didn't gain much from the 2008 crash.

So that they can name it something like "stop gaming the poor act of 2021", but inside it creates and funds another governmental office, that fucks you even harder, while creating more government do-nothing jobs to put accomplices and relatives in.

>If retail trading is banned
Retail trading won't be banned. There is no point to a market if there isn't anyone for the merchant to rip off. What will happen - garunteed - is a large increase in trade fees. It will have zero effect on retards putting their life's tiny savings into something stupid, and subsequently braining themselves, but it will make it more expensive for everyone to trade. When the brokerages dropped their trade fees not long ego, there were already politicians that would have no clue ( such as AOC ), just out of the blue, yelling about how we needed to raise taxes on all traders so that billionares couldn't rob hard-working folks like pre-congress her.
...Now we know that it's a serious objective, because the problem has been released, the emergency has been played and news-pumped (whereas the day to day occurance of this gets news-dumped). Now, we wait for the obvious and inevitable "solution". Problem --> Emergency --> Solution. Your guide to a manufactured crisis for robbing you, since pre-history.

Or, you could just not play.

Why invest in US stock markets at all?
The last two weeks have not made a compelling case.
You could just buy property, or start a side business, or buy government bonds, or invest abroad, etc, etc.
There are plenty of other things to do with your money, and the "ease" of stock market "investment" is really just part of the con to take your money and have it soak upwards to insiders.

Or keep giving your cash to sharks. Your call.

real estate is safer (lower yield demanding) than equities, why do you think so much foreign capital is flowing into real estate. leverage allows you to get 4x the return of corporate bonds which are trading very low while taking on the same type of risk as buying corporate bonds since you own the physical asset. the only way to get superior absolute returns in real estate is by buying actual value add with higher execution risk. good luck doing that if you don't know what you are doing.
