Honestly, it doesn't real matter on what coin unless you're in a country like bongland which allow for no taxes on profits made on national tender - and even then, we're banking on crash scenarios so it might not be that pertinant still.
Main thing is just get as close to spot as possible, by any means.

Personally my goal is to stack 1oz coins up to 300oz, then stack 10oz bars up to 1000oz, then stack 100oz bars.

Partly autism and partly for liquidity / tax purposes. It's easy to dodge the taxman when you can buy/sell/trade in small quantities, whereas if prices skyrocket a single 1kg bar could be worth enough to attract attention.

Some people advocate just buying whatever is cheapest / oz, even if that means buying vintage platters and silverware at yard sales.

You can clean your silver if it gets tarnished with toothpaste or a similar abrasive. One beautiful thing about heavy metals is they can’t be interacted with by other substances easily. For me, it's junk silver. I still remember my first junk silver purchase like it was yesterday. My eyes were popping out, staring at all the marvelous coins and the history that they carried with them. I got a couple of Morgan dollars and Kennedy half dollars and when I added three Roosevelt dimes, the dealer threw them in for free.
'Three for free!' I exclaimed, 'Are you trying to make me into a silver junkie?' The whole store laughed and the dealer said, 'that's funny kid, I'm going to call you the silver junkie.'
So now every time I go to my dealer the staff greets me with 'hey, it's the silver junkie!' and everybody laughs. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local coin shop. I go there at least twice a week to look at the new inventory that came in and have a fun conversation with the employees and occasionally a customer.
Junk silver is just the best, it gives you the best value for money, you dont have to worry about wear and tear and it is in constantly dwindling supply.
I don't drink or do drugs, but I never come down from my junk silver high.

go in person deliniate out a 4 post claim around the workings. You dont need to be 100% with this if the grounds rough. Next when you submit your filing work for staking the claim tell the agents to match the posts to the previous tenets posts. Trust me its so much easier than giving them exact points that match to old posts your self. Once done make a copy of the documents in a water tight case and place them under or next to your starting post, marked by a stack of rocks. Done you now have the claim figured out.

Now before you stake, test the ground first, no point holding a worthless claim with no gold or silver on it. I want to see some ore photos too!

Also isn't the goal to continually put pressure through the purchase of silver on the glut of existing guarantees which cannot be fulfilled?

Honestly seems like only a few sites can keep up with demand with everyone major drop. Think I'll just drop my mad money every week / month into buying silver from now on.

They are also very small denomination so will make for very liquid/recognizable and divisible payment. Best option is to take their photos and vehicle plates, send that to the BLM with a note explaining the situation. Its now on record you caught these shits stealing from your claim. Now if you catch them again you can really take action. I ve heard of people shooting thieves in Colorado for example. Because no one here is trying to get rich tomorrow. Bitcoin halfs, everyone kills themselves. Silver/gold half, everyone here rejoices because it just means we can buy a shitload more. Furthermore, this doubles as a hobby. A lot of people like to discuss the quality/designs of their silver/gold coins/bars/rounds. We're patient, and less likely to dump our entire life's savings into Silver Eagles expecting them to quadruple tomorrow for a get-rich-quick scheme.

None of us are on edge, and since we're not betting our lives on silver it's hard for us to 'lose'. We're comfortable.

When I hike in the national forest I’m always packing. Luckily for me the areas I’m interested in are part of the old Colorado silver thread and are, therefore, under mounds of snow for half the year and then mostly looked over by fat boomers zooming by on ATVs during the other half. There’s basically zero commercial mining anymore. I think, like many others ITT, we’re due for an uptick in metal exploitation, so I’m planning on spending the better part of May prospecting and exploring the vast San Juan and Rio Grande national forests.

I promise, I will provide ore pictures, though I won’t divulge their specific localities for obvious reasons.

What is your opinion on adit exploration? There are many old mines in Texas and Colorado I have access to, but I’m nervous about bad air (mainly) and cave-ins (secondarily). Do you ever pick your way through old mines?

I would advice against entering old mines with only limited training. It can be a quick way to end ones life. If you do check the air in the mine, if its flowing out and cool or cold its good. If the air is stagnant warm and does not move dont go in. If its full of stagnant water do not venture in, your movement can disturb gases in the mud which can quickly kill you.

Go and find some neat spots mate, stake your claim as it rightfully is on a spot of ground. Prove it up and who knows maybe find something no one else has yet. Your practicing the American dream you are.

I was looking into other paper ETFS ever since the failed silver squeeze by Reddit happened. Aside from PSLV being the genuine silver etf. I came across this.

http://www.reserves.mint.ca/tsx_silver/

The Canadian Mint Reserve have their own version called the Exchange Traded Receipt (ETR). I was wondering if anyone knew more about this compared to Sprott’s PSLV.

Ahh, the old Marius and Sulla dichotomy. Talk about an overlooked period of the Republic. Too early to be considered part of the civil wars that ended up with Augustus at the helm and too late to be considered the golden age of the Republic.

another thing to check is for echo. If you here an echo far back in the workings when you call your safe, but if its muted and only goes within eye sight get out. The rock is crap and may come down without warning. Also wood and metal supports do not last long without maintenance in a wet mine, do not trust them. Watch for false floors. Last time I was in the Cariboo Hudson fucking around with some friends a section of floor in front of me in a drift just dropped into the void without warning or sound. We had no idea before that we were on a false floor. You have no idea how far down to the next level it is, and no one will find your body if you fall alone.

I know, I didn't know that ceasar only did what he did cause Sulla set a nasty present marching on Rome. That and I always thought it was hilarious that he had this massive army he needed to pay and basically did it buy murdering who ever slightly disagreed with him, confiscating their land and gold, and dulling it out to his legions like a bad ass. No wonder nobody fucked with him after he retired. Especially since it was ancient Rome. It's also irraly similar to the current course of the United states I feel.

Duly noted. The mine I’m most focused on was closed due to bad air.

What does a professional mining outfit do in cases of bad air? I’ve watched a bit about mine rescue crews with oxygen rebreathers and those guys seem to have excellent equipment, good training and tenacity. Do mining outfits that run into off gas simply pump air into the mine or do they have their workers use oxygen masks (or both)?

Huh never heard them that loud in a mine before. If its real its "Tommy knockers", harmless beings that inhabit old mines. In my work i ve only ever heard them a few times, never that loud like that before. Usually its a muted sound far off down the workings away from you.

Very simple chains and rings are popular here in Asia due to wonky laws surrounding Gold sales.
A lot of “”jewlery”” stores are really just PM investment stores, but legally they are not allowed to trade gold so they make super basic jewelry as investments.

I usually buy from the State sanctioned gold shop to get bullion but you can sometimes pay a bit more, worth it though imo if I want to sell later (and avoid questions from the police) since it is verified.

Huh, so solid rock reflects sound much better, whereas broken up weak stuff acts sort of like foam and absorbs the sound? False floors sound like the easiest way to die in an old mine. There's no way to know whether you are standing on solid ground or not, is there?

Great call on the revolution series at texmetals. I was thinking of getting their mini monster box of the 2020's for like $7k and that shit got jacked to 8.8k and still sold out last week. Regretting not picking up at least a tube, guess I will have to wait for some paper hands to sell back to them

What is the absolute cheapest silver I can get.
From what I know its junk silver and generic rounds.
Is there any way I can get hold of 999 scrap silver from someplace reputable?
I was considering melting it down and making my own rounds and bullion.
I am willing to buy in bulk if the money i save is worth it.

Yep you just blow fresh air into the heading until the gas monitors stop screaming.
All modern miners are also required in the US through MSHA to have a self rescue device on their person incase of gas or mine fire. It lets you breath for 15 minutes by converting toxic gas into breathable air.
