Most all value stocks nowadays are the brands you already know, Walmart, Proctor & Gamble, Amazon, ect. and are all "expensive", but when dealing with value investing you have to try and seperate yourself from thinking something is expensive, you have to think about it more like "How much is this currently under or overvalued" and buy it if its undervalued.

That said, nowadays a large portion of the stock market is focused on growth stocks.
You can still make good profit with value investing but its gonna all be stocks you already know about and really dont need us to tell you about, just open up wsj and yahoo finance to look at their financial sheets
