Examples, foodsaver/sous vide combo, buy food in bulk, cook in bulk, keep a full freezer, nothing perishable in the fridge. Buy solid and versatile cookware, heavy skillets, rugged chef knives etc. Avoid cheap gimicky appliances.
Buy a reliable low mileage car: a certified used 3-4 year old car is payed off in a few years and will last you 10 before you get tired of it. Do your own detailing and basic maintenance, drive thru car washes absolutely wreck a car's finish.

My point is. That if you are so poor that you are frugal about toilet paper, that means that you don't have a spending problem, but you have an income problem. Spend your time and energy on obtaining more income, as opposed to spending time and energy on cutting pieces of toilet paper in half.

I remember reading a story about a dude here on 4chan that lived over a year in a tent behind his university library to save on rent, he used the sports facilities for washing/showering and spent all day in classes or in the library learning then he went to sleep in his tent. All he had was a P.O box and I think some kind of locker he rented to store some of his stuff.

This is extremely common. In the 70s and 80s, there were many students that lived in the forest in make-shift sheds/cabins near the college I attended because it cut their tuition in half. I'm pretty frugal but I'm not cheap. I drive a 16 year old Honda Civic and I bought a cheap dump of a house and fixed it up, now I own it outright. I have no debt and very little interest in material items. I basically wear the same variation of one outfit like Steve Jobs style. I eat out a few times a year and the rest of the time I cook at home. The only indulgence I really have is a yearly vacation I take to get out of the winter cold for a while and I even do that as inexpensively as possible. But being frugal allows me to give generously like gifts and charity and stuff like that, which I enjoy more than accumulating stuff.

Yeah, absolutely. I pirate all my movies/TV shows/vidya/music/etc. I only just recently put together a new PC after milking my rig from 2011 for all its worth. I only eat out at restaurants a scant few times a year for special occasions, and I haven't eaten fast food bullshit since probably highschool. I cook all my meals using fresh ingredients from the grocer. I use a home gym that consists of a barbell, squat rack, and an adjustable bench.

I'm on track to owning a million dollars by the end of this bull run, possibly several. I don't really desire much and think that spending it on gaudy bullshit is cringe. I just want to retire at age 28 and be /comfy/

also soon investing in Reef and Bao, later LINK, AAVE.. Flexing over city folk is ultimate cope of sorts and its relatively recent, since most cities turned into consoomer shit without culture even more than before. Still, I still like to go to a concert, join sport clubs, browse shops and meet people.
