Nursing programs are difficult because you do end up doing placements on top of classes for the last two years on the program. Most nursing students work 50-60 hours a week, sometimes much more if they're high achievers, like 70-80.
In terms of academic rigor however, absolutely not. The most complicated class most nursing majors take is organic chemistry 2 or differential equations (not even compulsory in many schools). Academically it's about as difficult as a business degree.

Yeah diff eq wasn't that bad my major made me take up to calc 4. I didn't like Riemann Sums at all, felt like such an ass backwards way of doing integrals. Whenever I can't directly integrate I just fucking use the trapezoidal method and write some code in matlab to do it. Idk why but Riemann sums was just too much bullshit to memorize and always had me like I don't think I'll ever use this method in the field. Calc 3 and 4 was annoying because it was just calc 2 but on sterioids. Partial derivatives made sense and was cool but the rest of those courses was just hey instead of normal coordinates lets use this different coordinate set. I'm an Applied Math major almost done my degree and my father is a petroleum engineer. Reimann sums are fucking useless in the real world. Like you said, their is simply too much crap to keep track of in the calculations. The trapezoid rule works fine if you need to approximate an area.

I personally found Calc 2 harder than Diff Eq. Calc 2 is usually the first time a student encounters problems that cannot be solved by an immediately recognizable pattern. It can be frustrating. Diff Eq. has a ridiculous amount of information to learn but once you identify which method to use to find the solution, it's nothing but following easy steps. The worst was series solutions only because it took fucking forever to do by hand.

I worked IT in a healthcare organization a solid 80% of the nurses and doctors are NPC’s that just do whatever authority tells them to. I would watch pharmaceutical companies come in to shill them pills by buying the entire company lunch from carry out places and watch some sleazy salesman use sales techniques to get them to sign contracts to give out their pills. Some of these goofs couldn’t even work a printer or use outlook it blew my mind and made me lose all faith in the medical industry when I already barely had any. Unironically eat healthy, exercise, meditate and avoid niggers and you will probably never have to go to the doctor if you aren’t working a dangerous profession or a drunk/ drug addict.

I ended up in Applied Math because I didn't have the HS grades for nursing. I later discovered that most schools will let pretty much anybody that already has a B.Sc to enroll in their RN program. I'm planning to do that after I graduate with my math degree. I want to try for graduate school as well to become a nurse anesthetist I feel like that job would use my math education at least some what.

I've thought of going into biomedical engineering but it looks stressful as fuck for schooling. My father essentially can't ever stop working because of engineering projects requiring at home work too. RN jobs seem comfy if you get a 3-on 4-off shit rotation. No bullshit once you clock off. You might've made the right choice for your mental health skipping on being an engineer

Depends what field you're in. I'm studying to become an SLP and I'm getting my medical license in a few months. No one understands what I do or what a language disorder even is.

Also not everyone in medicine is super smart but most of them are really hard workers to make up for it. You can't really pass any medical degree without either being smart, working really hard, or straight up cheating.
