What kind of degrees are worth it?
>>27554811that bitch is insufferable
"degrees" in the information age, anon. are you retarded or something, you can learn all of physics and math on your own if you are motivated enough in under a year. NO ONE SHOULD BE GOING TO SCHOOL FOR 4 YEARS, THAT IS A JEWISH SCAM.

>>2755481180k for a nursing degree is absolutely retarded. >What kind of degrees are worth it?I can really only recommend engineering or becoming an attorney. The medical field is a toxic wasteland no self respecting man should work in. I was an x-ray tech for 3 years. skip it. I would honestly say you should try and start your own online company. working for yourself is the only way to truly make it in my opinion.

I've got a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and a masters in electrical engineering. I would say it was worth it, but I wouldn't put yourself through that if you don't like math and science

>>27554811ICU Nurse hereThis Consoomer bitch can get the fuck out. Watches get covered in shit and spread infections to other patients/family members. Stethoscopes get stolen by ghetto staff so you just use the cheap ones provided by the hospital. If you have airpods in while you should be attentive to what is happening on the unit then...well who really expected her to be a good nurse? Those $180 adidas will be stained in piss within a year, go black and get hydrophobic shoes. Scrubs are actually worth spending decent money on provided they're good quality. To answer OP's question, being an RN is really good for someone who doesn't want to study past an undergrad while making 70k/year in their early 20s. Nurses, on average, have better unions than any other hospital services in Canada. Paying ridiculous U.S. tuition prices will offset your gains for a while though, but your choices for a 'worthy' degree are limited already.

A bachelors in business/finance or in economics. then you can get a CFA and be set. Im working on the CFA part right now.Protip for anons: CFAs with expertise in crypto will be the highest paid people on earth at some point in the next ten years.
I have an undergrad in history and a masters in architecture. I worked at a firm for a couple years before I teamed up with my dad who is a contractor. We just build and sell, profits are split depending on what exactly we are building. I make very good money doing this and also kept a few properties to keep as assets. Unless you are the 1% in your field or are in an industry like law and medicine you will never make good money just following down the traditional job path anymore.
>>27556849What is up with the entitlement, most people i know who are doctors maybe 1 out 10 is very smart.
>>27557948What’s your job anon? Do you really think this is unreasonable if you get in with a good group?
programming and IT is so saturated, if you haven't worked in the field in the past year its basically not a good use of your time I reckon. Could succeed elsewhere with much less effort / time sink risk, its really not for everybody.
>>27557148where do you live to make 100k as a ct tech? I was an x-ray tech in Chicago, and those niggers only paid a little over 40k a year for full time. That was around 2014. Absolute shit. I found working in hospitals terrible. Retarded women managers, and administrators. Shit hours. Fuck doctors. I definitely had times where i liked it. Medical imaging technology is dope. I actually went to school for MRI when I though I would need to go back into imaging. Still need to take the boards for that shit. I started my own business is make around 100k, and I pay way less in taxes. Watching doctors and nurses screech autistically is great. Med lab science is comfy. Pay isn’t amazing ( I started at 30/hr) but super high security and really interesting if you like applied bio and chemistry but don’t want to go for PhD. Also nurses and doctors are both retards, and the lab is full of autismos. Hospital can’t function without someone to actually touch the patient, someone to tell the nurses what to do, and someone to tell the doctor wtf is going on.
I’m a civil engineer and I paid about 30k for my degree from a state school. I’ve been working for about 3.5 years and I’m making 80k, plus about 10k for overtime.

In Spain, anything that lets you opt for a top government worker position. I think what we need to do is relieve the burdens on breadwinners so they can earn more and so that menial jobs lose their value like they should, which can enable a housewife to work part time before kids and after kids are grown enough that they don't need constant supervision or constant mentoring. I think we accomplish this by slashing taxes, bolstering industry (providing more jobs) and rerouting research to nutrition so we can all be healthier and smarter. After ward, we need to renew entrepreneurship and redpill children on scheming noses, faggots and crypt "Christians".

>>27554923I'm on my final year of BSE in EE, and honestly, you're right. While there are things outside your major that contribute to a well-rounded education, the price simply isn't worth it (in actuality). Once small companies realize that they can just test applicants during interviews instead of checking for degrees, the gig is up. If we don't go that route, we should make a national (or institutional) standard for credit hours on various subjects. People should be able to acquire information/knowledge as they please. All that should honestly matter is if they can pass a knowledge test at a designated facility for a small fee. If they pass, BAM, you earn the credits.

Only those who are on track to become full fledged medical doctors have done anything that bears any semblance to "making it" when you ignore that hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt they're in. All of the cocky engineers are now code monkeys or administrative paper pushers making a little over minimum wage. College as a whole by and large is not worth it.
>>27554923You forgot to mention the paper though. What you want to do is time the bull with pulling out all of your holdings when things inevitably dip. This is the gist of the GBR trading pattern:HODL BTC ETH LINKAfter they hit new ATH, transfer some profits to altsAfter alts moon, transfer all holdings to stablecoins at the peak of the bullrunWait for things to fall back down to the "new normal" (basically just wait like three months for the market to stabilize again) Reenter the market as desiredUnfortunately, I don't know anything about finances or crypto though, so you're going to have to hire a CPA or something when the time comes.

High level architects make great money, but it’s usually a decade or two of ass kissing and office politics. I said fuck that and started doing my own work on the side until I could afford going on my own. Architecture does teach a great skill set that can be very versatile if you know what to do with it. If you’re creative you can be quite successful. I quit the corporate gig and started designing my own projects on lots that I’ve purchased in town. I cleared $320,000 in profit designing a five-plex apartment complex that I sold last year after a few months of work. If you have the chance to get into a program where you won't be raped and indebted for the degree I say go for it. You're already most of the way there anyway so you might as well follow through completely. Just as an FYI all of the self taught programmers and engineers that taught themselves everything they know about Data Science and/or ML run laps around the newly minted Data Science MS's which, as fate would have it, are subordinates to the aforementioned programmers and engineers with mere CS and CE BS's (or none at all). What you learn in a graduate program is pretty fundamental and generally useless to what you'll be doing in industry (if that makes sense). You'll just end up learning most of what you'll know + get good on on the job. These are my own experiences from my workplace and that of others I immediately collaborate with. Your mileage may vary.

I used FED housing data, MLS data, census data to build an interactive GIS map/dashboard sort of application that ranked neighborhoods in terms on a spectrum of "10/10 desirable" to "inner city ghetto". If you can find it via google and github search you'll find my website. Shoot me an email and we'll talk in further detail.TL;DR: Yes build something cool. Wrangle data and make it useful and pretty
>>27567570Wrong. Medical students aren’t allowed to even touch a living human being until after they graduate. That’s why they are such retards during their residency.
>>27567651If you want to be a nurse, be a nurse. If you want to be a doctor, be a doctor. It’s that simple.
>>27567651Again, fully independent NPs can have 500 shadowing hours and then treat people. Medical students have 3-4 thousand hours actively treating patients after their third year. If nurses needed a doctor to hold their hand in the icu with everything they did, patients would die because we don’t have the time or resources for that.
>>27567751Oh christ, you’re a nurse and you’re lying about this?
>>27567884Fuck them anon. They will crawl back when they get diabetes and their livers start to fail. And if they dont, better off that they dont seek help. Since they are smart enough to Google the answer
>>27568071That’s not what I’m saying. But it doesn’t make up for not going to medical school by a long shot. And an online NP degree is dangerous as fuck. 100% acceptance rates is also dangerous as fuck. Shitty, easy board exams are also dangerous as fuck.
>>27567892Worked med/surg for 2 years, transitioned to a step down/progressive unit for 2 years, now I’ve been in icu for 3 or so. I like it. You learn so much working critical care. I plan on crna path too. Everyone I talked to who is a crna loves it.
>>27568071Further, medical students have ALWAYS treated patients since like the beginning of the damn profession. That is absolutely ignorant of you, and shows you don’t understand medical education.
>>27568022Indeed.stakenet.ioWelcome to the citadel, young stakelet.
>>27567884I work in an icu and we had 2 residents absolutely fuck up an intubation and give that same patient bilat pneumos for botching cvc placements. And they put in retarded orders that I tell them are wrong and then have the attending fix. Residents fuck a lot of shit up.
>>27564920Oh man, someone not retarded actually posted in this thread
>>27568475Thank you fren, I've screencapped our interaction to honor you 4ever
>>27568344How can a medical student treat a patient when they can’t place orders? We have medical students on our unit sometimes. They just walk around and observe. We can’t take orders from them.
>>27568788You’re oblivious, it’s nuts. You have all that nursing experience though!
>>27554811America is a mistake
>>27555973My brother is one. He had to do more schooling than me, works insane hours, works a ton more than me, and makes less. Being an accountant seems like suffering. From what I've gathered it takes at least 10 years to branch off into a solo thing if that's what you want to do.
>>27568509If residents fuck shit up then what on earth are these other providers doing with hardly a fraction of the residents’ training?? That’s why they have residency. What do NPs and PAs have??
>>27554811She will be replaced by a migrant nurse who will do the job for 40K a year instead of 80K
>>27569118That only happens in tech
>>27555539What was wrong with being a tech? Going in business for yourself and working from home is the best but you have to be working way more than 9 to 5.
