Anyone on /biz/ have lots of experience with flying business class? Specifically how much compensation is reasonable to demand if your expensive business flight ($2500-3000) was delayed about 14 hours?

Just call them and say your flight got delayed and ask what are they going to do to make up for it.

>paying 3k for a flight
You might not be poor but you fucking deserve to be. I'd rather buy 3k in Digishit.

I fly business class semi regularly but I've never dealt with such a delay. Look up the government rules on it, I think they're pretty clear I just don't remember off the top of my head. The airline's website certainly won't tell you.

My company paid for it. I assume this is the case with business fliers. I am a poorfag actually, never flown business before.

I called a complaint number while I was at the airport. The first person I got said she was only authorized to pay $100 and I'd have to talk to a supervisor. I did that, the supervisor told me she had been with the company 3 weeks and didn't really do payouts of more than $300, but she also didn't do cases where the tickets were so expensive. She asked me for a number. Since she gave me that $300 figure I asked for $500 was probably a stupid impulse. I could have been lowballing hard, and I'd have no idea because I don't know anything about business travel or flight compensation. She said she had to speak to someone to authorize the $500 and after a while I got an email with a voucher for that amount. I haven't redeemed it yet. I was also told that for higher value payouts, I would want to talk to the corporate care department, which wasn't open on weekends.

After the flight I got another email where the company apologized and placed 20,000 bonus miles into my account. I have no idea if that's a lot.

Probably gonna call corporate care tomorrow. Just tell me how much to ask for already /biz/.

You retard. You fucked it up by accepting the miles. They have to give you cash if you refuse their bullshit miles. Try looking up what to do before calling the person you want to give you money

With the miles, I didn't ask for them and I didn't do anything to accept them. That wasn't related to the phone call I made, it was an automatic email saying the miles had been deposited into my account. When we exited the flight they handed all the passengers letters saying we would all be receiving emails soon with compensation.

Flying business class is only worth it if the company pays for it. First class is worth it for transcontinental flights. A domestic flight is at most a few hours, economy class is fine.

It's infuriating as hell to cancel flights at this price
