I wouldn't count on it going over $1k. Sure it could, but it's not a guarantee and this is money you can't afford to gamble. In your case I would wait for it to hit ~$500, sell enough to cover your cost basis and if you're lucky the remaining 25% will moon and you'll walk away with some extra cash. Better than putting everything on the line.
