I was at my bar in farm country today, and the whole fucking place was buying silver. I have never once heard any of these hillbillies talk about silver or gold beyond where to sell it if they ended up for some reason. One of them was literally setting up a brokerage account 8 beers in.

Its like a switch was thrown friday night and they all take the idea that holding physical silver is an obvious and wise thing to do. These people are the opposite of terminally online, none of them use the internet except for weather, grain prices, sending ,dick picks and depraved porn. Its not that they are stupid, but they have never followed the price of any commodity except what they buy and sell. I have no idea where the idea came from.

Their transition to the idea that holding silver is a good idea was instant, calm and smooth. It was like some transition to another timeline, they were talking about historical prices, the current spot and who the best dealer is. It wasn't like some frenzy or mania, they were all suddenly talking about silver like they have always talked about grain prices and who the best banker or equipment dealer is. They were debating the value of physical silver vs ETFs like they debate Case vs John Deere.

Not sure what it means but its not like anything I have ever seen. I'm about the only guy around with a degree, so they were all asking me questions about where markets might go, and asking about the mechanics of a short squeeze. I don't know enough to say if this is plausible for silver, and I didn't give them any advice about it but I was just shocked that they knew the right questions to ask.

This wasn't anything like the boomer relative that suddenly wants to know about bitcoin, it was like they just all suddenly took it for granted that its a good idea to hang on to some metals if you can.
