Top reasons for why STA is inevitable

1. Arbing + arb bots (volume)
2. Ethereum 2.0/Uni v3/Balancer v2 (gas fees down -> more arbing + STA directly in pools again?)
3. Deflation (positive price pressure on a macro level)
4. Other pool assets dragging up price + ETH price going up
5. Stanos pool beating multiple top Balancer pools (attracts liquidity, with liquidity STA succeeds)

I wrote explnations to each point yesterday but feels like no one read them since it was a wall of text so this will do.

People need to be buying WSTA. Here's why:
Wrapped Statera is pegged to the price of Sta (give or take a very small amount)
You can get it on https://matcha.xyz/ or https://1inch.exchange/
And the gas fees are lower than Uniswap, as they find the best price through all exchanges.
Plus, if you ever wanna add wSTA to a pool, it saves you even more gas this way.
Win/win!

When you pool you're no longer holding 1 coin. You're holding the split of whatever the pool is. Nobody can really tell you they know what each coin is going to do. People generally think the pure STA token has more upside because it could easily 2x or 3x at any random time. And if that happens you're only getting half the pump.

STA doesn't really follow the market yet though so if everything in the pools pumps but STA stays the same you'd have been better off pooling.

If you're just hodling, Infinity will give you approx 7% more token over the course of a year. That's the upside. The downside is that you have to pay ETH gas fees to pool. You need to decide whether it's worth entering the pool based on the size of your stack and how long you intend to pool.

Yup. The high fees are definitely not cool. They also hinder STA's ability to generate volume in the pools because it costs so much to do a balance/arb trade. The release of Balancer v3 (soon) and ETH v2 (who knows) should dramatically reduce fees and unleash STA.

The Infinity pool (STA/wSTA) is just a hodlers pool. You will earn around 7% more tokens per year just through hodling your stack in there. It gives you 100% exposure to the price movements of STA.
There are several higher APY pools available, including "Stanos" which has been hitting 50% APY on some days recently. But Stanos is a pool on Balancer, which has high gas fees to initially setup. With the size of your stack it's probably not financially viable until ETH gas fees are lower.

>> No.27193465

>>27192055
Yeah that was my suspicion but for Stanos I need to pool all the assets don't I? If so I don't have the money right now to do it so I was wondering if just going for the ETH and STA pool was worth it.

For the future know that you can pool in Stanos with a single asset. Balancer will divide it up evenly between all the coins in the pool. I don't know if the costs are different to "single asset" pool versus "multi asset" pool.
The Uniswap pool called "Delta" on the Statera website was getting some crazy APYs a couple of days ago; we're talking 500%+ APY. But typically it's closer to 25%. Being on Uniswap it's cheaper to pool than Balancer. Check it out. Links on the homepage of the official website:

Yep. "Delta" is just a short name it's known by in the STA community. It won't appear on the Uniswap page anywhere. Same thing for the "Infinity" pool.
You'll need to "approve wSTA", then "approve ETH", then "Pool" (or whatever the final term is.) You mentioned you've pooled in Infinity before - it's the same process as that.

The project from this time forward is gaining adoption. The code itself is complete and can never be altered. It's already out there. The team's recently started marketing with the likes of the article that appeared on bitcoin.com a few days ago:
https://news.bitcoin.com/statera-a-global-deflationary-asset/
We've also had a lot of traction on several high profile subs on rebbit in the past few days. The "decentralized, deflationary and immutable" aspects of STA appealed to the WSB crowd who are looking for a return to sound money. It's all beginning to happen.

I can't tell you if it's worth it or not, but photoshop is part of a subscription service now. Think it's like 10 bucks and you get lightroom too, which i have yet to use. Like other anon said, there are a million youtube videos on the subject. So far I've just been watching videos based on what I want to accomplish and have been getting decent results.

At the same time, if you have a newer computer with paint3d, you can get some decent results too.

I'm a relative newfag to crypto, can someone explain why this token would ever increase in value? I understand the deflationary aspect, but where does the demand come from? Is it just pegged to ETH or some shit?

The STA token has utility. It generates higher earnings for liquidity poolers.
POOL + STA > POOL
Pool operators and exchanges will look to secure quantities of STA for the increased returns it provides.

Why does pooling with STA give better returns than just pooling? Is it just the devs set up certain pools to be that way

Balancer pools automatically buy and sell (balance) to maintain equal dollar values of each token in the pool.
STA deflates each time it's purchased, sold or transferred; i.e. it destroys (burns) 1% of the exchanged tokens.
That means that it potentially needs to be balanced again. More balances equals more volume equals more fees paid to poolers.
Now also factor into the equation the fact that there are many different pools which are all trying to balance against each other. And more pools coming online in future.
You have an arrangement that pumps volume (fees paid), volume improves liquidity (lowers spreads) attracting more traders, which pumps volume.

Minimum amount of USD of coins needed to make staking in Stanos worth it? After fees

Since STA gets burnt on entering in WSTA, am i better off using WETH to get in Stanos?

GIMP is good, you can do almost everything you can in photoshop, for the purposes of making memes anyway, and it's free. Open source too, so there's plenty of plug-ins and add-ons available

When I entered the fees to set up the initial "proxy" were about $70(!) It's likely to be more than that right now with the crazy ETH gas prices. Enter when it's less pricey.
And... wSTA doesn't burn. If you're hodling wSTA you can pool it without any burn. Balancer doesn't take naked STA though. Make sure to wrap to wSTA.

Honestly I've just been treating stanos like a savings account and putting in a couple hundred bucks a week. You can also reinvest your BAL dividends when you have enough for the tx fees to be worth it to get that sweet compounding action
