When you pool you're no longer holding 1 coin. You're holding the split of whatever the pool is. Nobody can really tell you they know what each coin is going to do. People generally think the pure STA token has more upside because it could easily 2x or 3x at any random time. And if that happens you're only getting half the pump.

STA doesn't really follow the market yet though so if everything in the pools pumps but STA stays the same you'd have been better off pooling.

The Infinity pool (STA/wSTA) is just a hodlers pool. You will earn around 7% more tokens per year just through hodling your stack in there. It gives you 100% exposure to the price movements of STA.
There are several higher APY pools available, including "Stanos" which has been hitting 50% APY on some days recently. But Stanos is a pool on Balancer, which has high gas fees to initially setup. With the size of your stack it's probably not financially viable until ETH gas fees are lower.

For the future know that you can pool in Stanos with a single asset. Balancer will divide it up evenly between all the coins in the pool. I don't know if the costs are different to "single asset" pool versus "multi asset" pool.
The Uniswap pool called "Delta" on the Statera website was getting some crazy APYs a couple of days ago; we're talking 500%+ APY. But typically it's closer to 25%. Being on Uniswap it's cheaper to pool than Balancer. Check it out. Links on the homepage of the official website:

Yep. "Delta" is just a short name it's known by in the STA community. It won't appear on the Uniswap page anywhere. Same thing for the "Infinity" pool.
You'll need to "approve wSTA", then "approve ETH", then "Pool" (or whatever the final term is.) You mentioned you've pooled in Infinity before - it's the same process as that.

Grab yourself some graphics software. There are plenty of freebies out there. So many I can't keep track. Krita and Gimp spring to mind. Photoshop is the granddaddy but isn't free. Balancer pools automatically buy and sell (balance) to maintain equal dollar values of each token in the pool.
STA deflates each time it's purchased, sold or transferred; i.e. it destroys (burns) 1% of the exchanged tokens.
That means that it potentially needs to be balanced again. More balances equals more volume equals more fees paid to poolers.
Now also factor into the equation the fact that there are many different pools which are all trying to balance against each other. And more pools coming online in future.
You have an arrangement that pumps volume (fees paid), volume improves liquidity (lowers spreads) attracting more traders, which pumps volume.

And... wSTA doesn't burn. If you're hodling wSTA you can pool it without any burn. Balancer doesn't take naked STA though. Make sure to wrap to wSTA.
