BTC is already absurdly high, so putting $100 to $200 down on that each weeks feels less productive, but if the gains are better with standard BTC then maybe I should do that instead?

I'd like to put around $50 into Rubic or ADA but I have to start with ETH before I can transfer it to a wallet.
