As someone who works in AI, I'd agree. From a market standpoint, it's interesting to see how AI plays into valuations. You put forth the marketing premise that if you collect enough data, your models eventually reach this tipping point in terms of performance and you start printing money. Most people doing technical work would disagree with this, myself included, but this is the message pushed by marketing people.

What this means is having a data collection process feeding into an AI pipeline has arbitrary future value. No one knows how much, but everyone agrees it's a lot.

So now every company is going to start collecting data and doing AI, because it adds an arbitrary value to their expected future earnings, which pumps their stock price. As a consequence of this, every company is also going to become a surveillance company.

i wouldn't invest anything until you actually get yourself an education on the matter and understand the market better. at least by taking the time to watch hours and hours of Livetraders you'll get a much better understanding of price action and volume patterns you can take advantage of, and how to manage risk. you should also be looking at lots and lots of charts and doing backtesting of strategies, trying to see the patterns that repeat themselves yourself. then you should try paper trading, and if that's successful for a few months you can try investing small amounts you dont mind losing.

it took me a year to learn shit and i almost lost a third of my net worth on a biomeme when i started (SGMO, bought the top on july 8th of 2019, i still remember it. got out with a small profit in december during ASH luckily), because of the effect the US-China trade war had on the markets. learned what buy the rumor sell the news was the hard way. basically spent all of my free time obsessively learning FA and TA, as much as i could.

i'd highly suggest learning everything you can. investopedia, and youtube livetraders/no nonsense forex are great places to start. there's hours of stuff for you to watch there, all free. learn all you can. then look at a lot of charts and test stuff out on historical data.
