>>27174933I believe in you desu. It's easy for me to feel like I'm winning though when I spent like $300 on GRT at 33c and now am doubled up
>>27174319Yeah. Indexers index the relevant data on the blockchain based on the specifications of a curator. That data can then be queried using graphQL for use in applications. Each query costs money same as it would if you used Google or aws to host. The fee is paid in GRT and 1% of that is burnt. GRT divides to 18 decimal places so you could expect a future where the tokens cost a lot for one but will net you never queries. Medium sized company can make billions of queries a month. There are 3500 subgraphs coming to GRT with the possibilities growing even wider when it's more widely adopted. Currently everyone delegating is only getting rewards for staking but when queries start being charged we get a cut from that as well.
>>27174981>and? i will get them at 0.70 or whatever and i'll still make thousands, there's nothing wrong with what anon is doingbecause people like you with your mindset will sell at 0.85. it's never enough

>>27175673>>27174898Sorry, forgot the link to guides. Here you go https://www.notion.so/Community-Guides-abbb10f4dba040d5ba81648ca093e70c
>>27175931Because coinbase doesn't offer staking, they take a huge cut, and it's a centralized exchange.>>27174898>>27175673Sorry, forgot the link.https://www.notion.so/Community-Guides-abbb10f4dba040d5ba81648ca093e70c
>>27176237Can you stake on metamask? I’ll set one up later today and start getting it spooled up.
>>27175989No problem. I honestly get the same feeling about GRT that I did about ETH back when it was less than $10. Hell, I would have felt the same about LINK were I paying attention at the time. The only time I got this feeling and was wrong was with SIA and I think that was just me being too soon. Time will tell.
>>27175920the fire rises
I've been delegating for 1 month with over 10,000. I've made about 280 grt in that time. If things continue this way, I will add about 3,000 a year. But as new people come into your indexer, rewards dwindle. I'm interested in seeing what will happen when more subgraphs are added. Will it give a big boost to the rewards? If so, how much? When that happens, it will probably moon in a big way. It could also pump every time a new subgraph is added, depending on which subgraph it is.At 10-20 dollars, the rewards are going to be insane even if you just have 10,000. You could be making $100 a day delegating.I know this isn't much to some of you, but I am broke as fuck and it would be like having 2 full time jobs for me.
I got around $20 in the graph from converting the other free cryptos from coinbase into it. Should I put more in?
>>27164290HIGH! HAF! How the hell are you? Can't do shit anyway. Just nice to see the swingers having some fun. My shit is delegated and making tasty rewards every day. Does it make you feel comfy knowing that I can't dump over 2m tokens on the exchanges even if I wanted to? GRT could hit 5 dollars and I would be locked in for 28 days after undelegating my bag. I plan to be curating very soon. Keep that in mind when you consider GRT. Look at how much is locked up right now and how long it takes to free up the tokens after they are removed from the indexer. I will not be selling to exchanges, I will be selling direct to developers in about 5 years. Good luck frens.
>>27176522thanks for sharing anonI have about the same amount of GRT and haven't delegated yet; was curious about potential changes in delegation rewards over timeI should probably get on that sooner than later
>>27176595no just forget about and i promise you will be a hundrionaire in a few years
>>27175701It's pretty bullshit that it's taxed as income. You can't even access this shit for 28 days so depending on the size of the bag you could seriously fuck yourself over if you're not careful. And it depends on the price of when you got it. So if the value of the coin dips you are going to get horse fucked. Honestly ridiculous that it's not the same as capital gains.
>>27176237Yeah, i get a feeling they cuck you somehow and I hate how they bend the knee too easily.
Got 1500 GRT currently. Will i make it?
>>27176384Metamask is the wallet. You're using it to interact with the website in order to stake.
>>27176874How does $1000 sound?
>>27176442Sia is in the gutter. They're still on POS and the obelisk ASIC launch was a disaster. The only reason why they still exist is because their competitors are even worse.
>>27176522I don't even have a shit job and i'm looking forward to the prospect of replacing my labor with delegating income. Cozy AF
>>27176874How does never having to work again in 5 years sound
So reading their website, this helps dApps efficiently index their data? How big of a market is there really for this?
>>27164290GRT is going straight to $2.43. Please screencap this for future use and admiration. Also pls check this ID.
>>27176726I really doubt that anyone is reporting it as income. It's completely unreasonable to do so as a retail investor. If the tax code was just plain and simple: pay when you sell and pay a flat tax, I guarantee there would be way more reporting.

>>27176874how does $15k EOY sound?
>>27177196Yeah super disappointing. In concept it's absolutely crucial to web3. In practice they're ngmi. If they had a working system it would pair perfectly with grt.
GO THE FUCK BACK DOWN!! BAO IS MOONING TOO AND I WANT TO BUY THIS AFTERWARDS!!

I see a liquidity crisis coming so I’m trying to transfer to something a bit safer like crypto and physical assets.
So what's the price for EOY ?
>>27177419No its lul
is p2p-org a good delegator ?
>>27177301The Graph already holds the monopoly in this space with their hosted service. Uniswap, compound, maker, coingecko, binance, the list goes on and on. These services NEED The Graph to properly function. All of defi and basically all of the dapp ecosystem is their market. They're going to be forcing the dapps to migrate to the mainnet where they have to pay with GRT tokens very soon, which benefits the dapps as well because they eliminate a point of failure and now are truly serverless. This is quite possibly the most guaranteed moon coin I've ever seen, and they don't have competition (and likely never will) because of the complete market monopoly they hold. Try and make a better system, and I don't think you could.
>>27177467I meant to say they're still on POW. Yeah, I agree that their service is necessary for web3, but it looks like IPFS has won over for that spot. Filecoin is a blatant cashgrab that may never work though.
>>27177710He closes everyday, but his return is average at best. I delegated 50% of my bag to him.
>>27177650$5 is a safe bet since they're releasing the rest of the tokens this year. Next year it goes to the moon.
Why does this shit require a token? Fuck why do half of thes3 "crypto" projects have their own token???
>>27177727What did places like Uniswap and Binance use before The Graph?
>>27177902So they are still minting?
Does make sense to delegate 1000 GRT ?
>>27177960IYKYK
>>27177879>>27177710If you have a very large bag (hundreds of thousands), it's a good place to be. With any less, I would be more eager to search out higher paying indexers. The Discord and telegram groups have a lot of them advertising constantly.
>>27177839Ipfs?
>>27177961They are currently using The Graph, but their hosted service (The Graph Foundation does it for free). This is obviously not good long term because there is counterparty risk. If you want a dapp to truly run decentralized on ethereum, you would ideally not in introduce any counterparty risk, and the only service that can provide this is The Graph
>>27178044No, gas fee will eat all your future profit
>>27177559Multi responders need to be shot
>>27178298I am a stacklet but I got in right before ETH gas went insane, only paid like $4 to delegate kek
>>27177960Servers aren't free and neither is electricity or internet.
>>27174314The right choice was made
>>27178213Interplanetary File System. It's what every project uses for file storage and web hosting, sort of like bittorrent but built for the decentralized web.
>>27178122There's a discord and telegram?
>>27177960Ever heard of crosschain compatability? How are you going to manage to create a network where the nodes have a direct stake in the network and incentive to improve it without making your own token? This is basic game theory.
>>27174314ouch, ngmi.
>>27175420You really think its peaked?
>>27178554See website for discord and tg.Official forum: forum.thegraph.com/
>>27178654I made $2500 off the trade and can rebuy if I have fomo, do you retards sell low and buy high? It does this literally every week lol. I have no doubt sky is the limit, but to not swing profits unless you are just comfy holding.
>>27178122There's nothing to stop indexers from nigging out and just setting cuts to 100%/100% after getting a following, is there?
>>27178735No, its far from what it will be EOY, I just prefer to take profits and reinvest when I see fit.
>>27178929shhh, don't tell them about how easy it is to stack repeated 20~30% gains weekly right now.
>>27179006There is not, other than their reputation. If you want safe yield, use p2p. It's pretty low yield though, last time I checked they're giving 16% APY.
>>27178929He sold?
>>27179006Only the potential reputation hit, basically blacklisting themselves from ever indexing again. I get the feeling there may be a very small batch of fly-by-night indexers, but i'd assume the bulk of them want this to be a long-term thing
>>27178735not peaked, it has bottomed
>>27167980>ngmingmi. XRP is the standard.
>MetaMask>WalletConnectWhich one is better and why?
>>27173652nah, its legit. Its gonna be a staple utility like Link token. These are the tokens which are safe bets for future gains. Its got good prospects and more people are supporting the price. I think we can see it at least 2$ by summer at this rate. Keep in mind you might make better gains holding onto ETH during that time, but its good to have a larger spread.
>>27179093Literally every week like clockwork. this crypto has unlimited potential in the long term and I'm fully on board with grt, but when I look at crypto 8-10hours a day, you bet your ass im gonna buy low and sell high. ill hold the fuck out of this long term, but in the mean time I'll keep swinging for a profit.
>>27164290RESPECTING THE PAMP
So what, minimum 5K tokens to delegate, or will like 1K do some work to make it worth it?
