I've been a regular for months and don't see any evidence of a PnD scheme, not yet anyway. It seems like an organic "100th-monkey" style awakening of awareness that hard assets in possession are far more trustworthy than the digital promises that are being broken left and right now. Imagine what'll happen if Robinhood is indeed insolvent and locks accounts or otherwise won't let people liquidate and withdraw what they want? Nothing is more valuable than physical silver.

Gold doesn't have anywhere near the amount of industrial usage that silver has.

When the market crashes your crypto and meme stocks that fail to liquidate will be worth nothing.

Gold is for sitting in the bankers vault. What price action could gold possibly achieve? 2x? 5x tops? Silver can easily reach $1,000 per oz.

Silver is for everything.. computers, phones, home appliances.. Tesla uses massive amounts, try to ask Elon how much they use per car and he will run for the hills.. with all the other companies getting into electric vehicles, we would run out of physical silver long before everyone has their own cybertruck.

The industrial usage of silver is rapidly catching up to the amount that is mined every year.. most silver that has ever been pulled out of the ground has already been used up by electronics.. insiders say that most of the best silver deposits have already been mined.. We will see $1,000 per oz within this decade, likely within the next couple years with all the current hype.

If we buy up and hold all of the retail supply, the price will moon and Elon will be offering 10 anime girls and an electric car for every physical oz.

The reason the price is so low right now is because bankers trade way more digitally than what actually exists through scams like SLV.

(((They))) don't want you to know the true value of physical silver, but everyone will quickly realize as soon as it's all bought and used up. Once it really starts happening, (((they))) will try to crash and subvert this by any means whether it's more extreme manipulation of the spot price with fake numbers or dumping their own stockpiles.. what does this mean for us? BUY MORE PHSYICAL AND HOLD. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. DO NOT SELL REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS HAPPENING. BUY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND HOLD.

Hoarding physical silver will set us free.

BUY PHYSICAL FIRST, then if you want stonks get AG(First Majestic Silver Mining)

Transactions in PMs will probably be more common in red/rural areas and states where gold and silver are (re)recognized by legislation as legal tender. In the aftermath of the GFC farmer's and flea markets with prices in silver coin alongside fiat prices popped up and enjoyed brisk and efficient business. My state is based and full of farmers cowboys and cattle ranchers so bullion and bullets will be much more liquid than in some lefty shithole like LA.

well for one you could in theory just use silver coinage with its value stamped already on it as general use money, or you could start seeing promissory notes again which would be convertible IOUs for physical gold or silver. There are all sorts of ways silver plays into this. The US morgan and Trade Dollar were the accepted currency across north america, canada and south america for nearly a century and a half.

government giving trillions of $ in stimulus to retarded retail who pays $800 for Tesla and $400 for GME in 2021 is the stock market moral hazard equivalent of mortgage brokers in 2008 giving trillions of $ to unemployed niggers who pay $3,000,000 for a 10 square foot shitbox

what's going to happen? depends on which market you're looking at
all markets have two layers - savers and speculators, savers are strong hands who will hold through anything and speculators are weak hands who will sell at first sight of trouble

the speculating layer on Bitcoin is extremely large
>Bitcoin dropped 50% during 2018 flash crash
>Bitcoin dropped 52% during 2020 Covid crash
the speculating layer on stocks is also very large but a bit thinner than bitcoin
>stocks dropped 16% during 2018 flash crash
>bitcoin dropped 37% during 2020 Covid crash
the speculating layer on gold is extremely thin
>gold dropped 0% during 2018 flash crash
>gold dropped 15% during 2020 Covid crash

another important thing to keep in mind here is that gold is the only asset that started recovering past its pre-crash price before stimulus began, meaning that gold is the only asset capable of recovering without stimulus, i.e. a real safe haven
whereas Bitcoin and the stock market is likely to have not recovered at all, or at least for a very long time, without additional stimulus as their prices only recovered past pre-crash levels long after stimulus was handed out and speculation could return
>tl;dr Bitcoin and stocks = speculative shit that people only want as long as credit is cheap, gold = real savings and long term safety

It's really hard to tell because well it's not centralize but from what I've seen is only about 4% of silver is in bullion the rest is either being using in industry or jewelry. Apparently this is 3billion Oz of silver so every person could own less then half an Oz. Also the paper contacts of silver have 184x more then what they hold their vaults. So that is a lot like factional reserve lending but banks don't normal go over 20 to 1 where silver is 184 to 1. So if you can create a fun when they are leveraged 20 to 1 I'd suspect it will be easier to do with 184 to 1. Of course this kind of guess work but end of the day you'll still have silver physical silver where every you store it and they have 5o take it by force.

>any idea why?

I've wondered that myself. Their "Freedom" might look a little bland but the regular Asahi 1 oz round is just good, simple silver at the best price. The best I've seen the past few months was on Monument Metals for $1.79 over spot per round. It's at $1.99 now.

>>27158767
I don't have enough. A few of the "Freedom" rounds, a few bars, and a small stack of the regular rounds. I would have subbed out some of my meme choices if I could go back.

because if fiat totally collapses and you need to barter silver for things, you need much smaller units of currency. Copper my likely come back as well. Historically a full days wage was 1/10th an oz of silver. How are you supposed to buy a loaf of bread if all you have are 1, 5, and 10oz bars?

Well if silver say hits 5k Oz as silly but possible number (184 contracts per 1 Oz @ 27oz ≠4968 an Oz) some people will want in still but will mean you need 5k to get into the game. Kind of like how in gold you can by 1 gram pieces.

They're stylish without being gaudy, but they're also not terribly bland like a lot of other ones appear to be.

OK so when you go and by silver they will issue an agreement / contract that says you own that silver but (((they))) know no one actually comes to claim their silver because its "safer" with them. So (((they))) are know they can issues more contracts then actual supply they have to back it. The ratio of contracts to supply is 184 to 1.

Hope that makes sense

a lot of investors dont actually take physical possession of their silver. They buy silver thats stored in a vault and are given a certificate, that in theory they can redeem and physically take possession of it at any time. Much like fractional reserve lending, apparently a lot of institutions have been selling more certificates than they actually have physical silver on hand at a ratio of 184 contracts per physical ounce.

i.e. they sell the same ounce 184x and pray to god that everyone doesnt come asking to redeem their physical bars.

the absolute majority of gold purchases are not made with the goal of becoming wealthy or even turning a profit
gold purchases are made mainly to store wealth for a very long period of time; old age, illness, disaster, etc.
>gold = real savings

Bitcoin is purchased mainly for the purpose of becoming filthy rich in a very short period of time,
Bitcoin is not purchased to store wealth for old age, illness or disaster, the psychology of Bitcoin owners is extremely brittle and for good reason
>Bitcoin = speculation

the reason the psychology of Bitcoin holders is so brittle is very simple, real savings vehicles need to have intrinsic value

what is intrinsic value?
>intrinsic = belonging naturally to something
>value = things which humans need and desire
a bottle of Coke has intrinsic value because humans like to drink Coke and even if they don't like it they will drink it to survive if they have to
Coke's ability to be drunk, i.e. the value of a bottle of Coke, resides in the very nature of the bottle of Coke

so why not save in bottles of Coke? well there are many reasons but the most important is that Cokes intrinsic value can be destroyed, rendering that Coke worthless through physical destruction

gold has intrinsic value because humans like gold and even if they don't like it they will use it for industrial purposes
golds ability to attract humans and be used for industrial applications, i.e. the value of gold, resides in the very nature of gold and can never be taken away from it, destruction is nearly impossible

Bitcoin has no intrinsic value because its only allure, it's transactability and hardness are not intrinsic to it
a bitcoin requires a large network with advanced infrastructure, i.e. miners, to be able to retain it's alluring qualities, without the miners, or without a safe network (51% attack), Bitcoin is worthless
it's value can only be derived from constant work input and is thus worse than even a bottle of Coke

>did you physically see it at a market or something?

Yup, and there were TV news pieces on markets like this in Texas, Utah etc. that may still be up on YouTube. There was also a cozy old farmhouse on a few acres for sale by owner with a sign out front with the price in both dollars and ounces of gold, the latter revised downward to 18 ounces of gold or so before the property sold. If fiat is now doomed then i expect to see hard money transactions like that becoming common again. I hold Bitchcoin but know it'll be way less useful here than PMs and if SHTF will have no interest in getting paid in anything but PMs; crypo is for passing off to delusional rootless urbanite bagholders who still think in the context of nominal fiat gains and have no understanding or appreciation of the intrinsic value of hard assets, and physical commodities.

I am definitely biased, but doubt I'm wrong about the wisdom of stacking in these uncertain times.

Silver is under VAT in my country, so cash in stores don't really deal with it unless it's jewlery.
I'm very skeptical about this "market manipulation" that's being shilled,
although I am looking at junk silver coins on ebay just in case.

Planning to get a bunch on .90 10g coins for +2€ their current melt value, seems more convinient than buying newly minted .999 coins that go +4€ their value.

What do you think?
I have no fucking clue what to do with it even if it moons desu

Bring cash unless you want to pay extra. In my experience you can get a little better deals in some brick and mortar stores than online. Generic bullion is probably the best value, but I don't know of anything wrong with buying govt coins if it's cheaper per ounce for junk or just a little bit more for bullion coins.

My fav by far. I let my son stack them. They say a 2 year milestone is stacking 3-4 things. He can do about 5 high and then goes into destroy mode and is just shy of a year and half. Compared with wooden blocks he gets at top 3. They fall easier and are lighter so who knows! Some people pay professionals to help with hand eye coordination, silver on the other hand is priceless if it aids in motor skills for future generations.

>>27160214
Images like this seem to help, but this one is specific to gold. Using the gold:silver ratio can be helpful as well, but you have to pick your audience. I believe you either have the "dragon's eye" for PMs, or you don't. Cite examples of real inflation (cars, houses) and how gold:silver ratio was 12:1 or that it's about 18:1 for what's actually it the Earth itself. We're at 65:1 now. The bull thesis for silver as a critical industrial component is also another good argument aside from the fact that it's been used as real wealth for all of human history.

I hear you, but in a system collapse things that have intrinsic value isn't necessarily the ONLY thing that remains of value. I don't hold any cryptos because I don't really understand them too well but also because there is the uncertainty of whether or not they will store any value in a collapse type scenario. I don't totally discount the idea that they might be a store of value but I'm not committed to saying they are. It's a new asset class, nobody really knows I think (and that presents additional risks)

Gold and silver on the other hand: Easy choice! Guaranteed to be a fantastic storehold of wealth!
