Here are the justifications of LINK to my understanding:
1. Needs to be a ERC677 token
2. Needs to be seperate from ETH
3. Needs to use PoS

There are plenty of tokens that meet these requirements, and new tokens can be designed specifically for these requirements.
So I ask again, why is LINK specifically required for the Chainlink network to operate?
