Lets say that you want to stop crime and corruption by using crypto. Everyone in your country will use your new crypto from their phones

How would you do it?

Lets assume that the crypto market is open so you can, for example, get monero, but you can just buy things like property or a big mac just using the official currency.

Criminals include- but not limited to
* Simple thieves that steal phones and cars
* Kidnappers, traffickers and cartel-like organizations
* Corrupt criminals and police

Alright glowie, you can use my idea at your next ngo think tank meeting.

>Have an authoritarian police state, crime prevention by seeing into the future with advanced ai that uses behavioural social profiles of every citizen to predict the most likely scenario of every action/choice the targeted individuals would make and arrest them for crimes they would've made before it happens

That is probably happening already anyway. But control of money IS the real control. I prefer that the information of exchange of money to be open than closed.

So you prefer centralized controlled finance? Are you asking how would we implement control and transactions to catch criminals in a decentralized financial system?

it literally is, police in burgerland use a system to prevent crime
so they patrol those regions more and wouldnt you know it, if you patrol an area the rate of crime goes up compared to not paroling the same area

And you trust the government with enacting this thing? AHAHAHHA Politicians are some of the biggest criminals/crime partners. Bootlicking midwit, stay poor.

I am saying that:

Lets say that you get kidnapped. And you pay. Can you get the transactions to the kidnappers and, can you make this info public to avoid police abuse for example?

I am talking that each transaction is in some way "public", so stealing is not even possible

better solution. declare taking people's stuff as legal. stealing only matters if it is defined. ez problem solved.

So, that means that we should not do anything against that. Too defeatist. I am looking for possible ideas that might work, considering how far have we today with technology. If you ever had one that makes sense, this is the thread to share it.

I think the scenarios your providing as an example aren't a good reason to have an open centralized financial system. Just saying fren, also criminals wouldn't use their personal wallet to receive funds from their hostage if it can be traced back to them. If you look at how the cartels, mafia, gangs clean their money via laundering it through legitimate businesses it would be a clear indicator of how the criminals would act in a digital defi system.
