Im not bullish on monero
>there are onion sites and dark markets that will do BTC to XMR exchanges
>will not get wide adoption like BTC, LTC, and ETH potentially could
>hard to get for cash without paying a large premium plus the time it takes
>price will likely not rise independently of BTC
Monero only seems good for drug dealers making so much money they want to save the 1%-2% fee it would take to change BTC to XMR.

>> No.27099175

Drugs are a big market.

>> No.27099283

Will not get wide adoption? Why? When fiat isn’t used for drugs what the fuck do you think there going to use. There won’t be any banks next century

Yes but it is more simple for most people to just hold BTC then change it to XMR on an onion when they want to make a purchase.

I just think it will always exist. It already has found its niche in the market. People use it. There is a reason to use it: anonymity.

There are lots of reasons to have your transaction anonymous besides buying a child slave.

I just buy XMR and don't sell it. Just long holding because its value doesn't totally depend on weather or not apple add it into the phone wallet.

Your thread sucks but if anyone has a solution to:
>hard to get for cash without paying a large premium plus the time it takes
I'd like to hear it

>> No.27100427

>>27099648
ok by this logic wouldnt you have more plausible deniability if you werent holding monero wallets on your devices? Again you can hold btc and send XMR to a market for 1%-2% when you need to. The only people who want to go through the headache of acquiring XMR through cash because 1%-2% is too much are professional drug dealers.

>> No.27100665

>>27100427
The fact that Monero is being used at all for that purpose is bullish. Prices are set with the expectation that someone will buy. It doesn't matter if they hold

>> No.27101007

>>27100335
Are you asking us how to buy XMR, or are you asking how XMR will become more accessible?

There are plenty of guides on how to buy if you are a first time crypto noob. But its pretty damn easy if you ask me. Just buy sometime you can get with cash and then switch to XMR.

>>27100427
Ya, no one is expecting to be able to buy a double chocolate sunday with sprinkles on top with XMR at their local hipster ice-cream shop anytime soon.

This.

Im not saying XMR doesnt have its uses, my point is I do not think the prices will become independent from BTC. By investing in XMR you lose the opportunity cost to invest in BTC.

>> No.27101464

ok well that's a different argument from what was stated. BTC to altcoin argument then applies to every altcoin not just Monero

>> No.27101596

>>27098853
>there are onion sites and dark markets that will do BTC to XMR exchanges
this proves that Monero has a usecase, which means Monero has value.
>will not get wide adoption like BTC, LTC, and ETH potentially could
And what is the basis of your argument? Monero has had steadily rising daily transactions over the past year. If you go to r/darknet right now there are daily threads from noobs who are not investors who want to learn more about Monero. These people are not shills who go from one echo chamber (Bitcoin) to the other (Litecoin) talking about "number go up". They seek Monero because it has use that they need.
>hard to get for cash without paying a large premium plus the time it takes
This is true of every crypto.
But there are many non kyc around this that already exist, and in the future we will have atomic swaps.
>price will likely not rise independently of BTC
What makes you think that? Monero often moves when nothing else moves, as has been seen time and time again.
>Monero only seems good for drug dealers making so much money
They said the same thing about Bitcoin back in the day.

XMR has the most potential to completely detached from BTC. It is literally the only coin that already has a niche. It has more of a use than BTC, and XMRs use / niche isn't threatened by what google or apple choice to feed to their consumers on the newest OS update. It also isn't threatened by regulators (theoretically, IDK, how far that can go though).

Shut the fuck up about monero.
Are you a stupid retard that needs validation for your crypto?
Obviously monero is good. Now shut up and keep buying.
Stop trying to pump or hype it.

It will happen regardless and it will not happen soon, so stop shilling

Did you hear about Baex(#baex) defi binary platform? A lot of people try to bring referrals there, and I checked this option. 80% of commissions and 4% of the tokens bought by your referrals, that can be good for passive income.

There are a lot of stocks, indices, crypto, and fiat tools, and I want to trade Microsoft and Apple shares, as I see, they are rising, so it will be easy to get profit with them

If you're gonna use an intermediary coin (which I agree is far easier and is how I first bought xmr), LTC is the better option due to lite fees.

Every coin you guys sell by shilling is potentially thousands if dollars i am losing in the next 3 years.

https://www.bridgewater.com/research-and-insights/ray-dalio-what-i-think-of-bitcoin

>As an extension of Bitcoin1 being digital are the questions of how private it is and what the government will allow and not allow it to be.
>1When I use “Bitcoin” please take that to mean Bitcoin and its analogous competitors.
>there is also a growing need for assets that can be privately held
>there exists the possibility that Bitcoin and its competitors can fill that growing need
>Bitcoin will unlikely be as private as some people surmise.
>Since the way Bitcoin works is fixed, it won’t be able to evolve and I presume that a better alternative will be invented and pass it by.

And finally...
>if it’s successful, the government will try to kill it

Please draw your own conclusions.

Look what the kikes did to GameStop, they are coming for your crypto very soon. They want blood after what you pathetic plebs did to them. They are going to implement draconian crypto tax laws to crush you pathetic goyim. And then what will you do. You'll buy Monero as fast as your fingers can trade.
