First you need to learn the basics..

Never use a market buy. Use a limit buy and the same goes for sales.

If you're not on a cash account you're subject to PDT rules. Learn what that means or you will get your account suspended for 90 freaking days.

Stay away from options for a while, If you want to get your feet wet in options don't buy calls or puts on something like Tesla, buy options on something like GNUS and loose thirty or 40 dollars at most.
