For people new to silver:

The bankers use a derivatives market called the COMEX to manipulate the price of silver. 500 digital ounces of silver are traded back and forth for every real ounce held in the vaults. Equivalent to fractional reserve banking. The banks heavily short silver there. So much so that they would go bankrupt if the physical was taken delivery of. The regulators said when first setting up silver-trading on the COMEX in the 70s that the purpose was to scare off the average investor with suppression and volatility. Don’t let them beat you. Adjusted for inflation, silver should be $966 (ShadowStats).

Learn about suppression from

This article about the Hunt Brothers, "Hunt for Silver," is also a must-read: https://s3.amazonaws.com/camppictures/CampArchive/Economy/Hunt%20For%20Silver.pdf They were cheated by the bankers just like the GME short-squeezers today.

If you buy silver, only buy either physical coins or if you do go with ETFs, PSLV. DO NOT buy SLV.

PSLV: Run by billionaire silver-bull and banker-killer Eric Sprott, fully audited and backed, with a delivery mechanism at 10,000 ounces for anybody

SLV: No proven metal, run by JP Morgan, only a few big banks have access, delivery for 500,000 ounces only, can pay you out in cash in case of a default

If you can't buy PSLV (just now banned on Robinhood) then buy AG, First Majestic Silver. It's the next GME. Support the squeeze on this company which has a 30% short-float. The bankers are trying to punish CEO Keith Neumeyer, who is refusing to supply the COMEX.

$50 wasn't the top. The Hunts were good principled men who had no intention to sell. They bought silver as a long-term investment and encouraged all their friends to do so. Silver went down because the banks cheated them and changed the rules so that you could only sell silver contracts and not buy them, just like GME today. Read "Hunt for Silver." https://s3.amazonaws.com/camppictures/CampArchive/Economy/Hunt%20For%20Silver.pdf The GSR should have gone all the way to 1:5.

how do I polish my sliver?

I just bought a bunch of generic silver rounds. The guy was very patient with me, I had him use a sigma on each piece. A few didn't pass but they were probably just dirty or something. He restrained himself from rolling his eyes at me when I said I wanted to switch them out.

speaking of dirty coins, I imagine when I go to sell them, since they're unmatched generic, having them polished up will be good so the tester machine reads easily. Some of the ones that passed & I took home are pretty dirty.

FOR ALL OF YOU FUCKING NEWFAGGOTS WHO DONT KNOW HOW TO LURK AND REFUSE TO READ THE LINKS IN THE OP, YOU MUST INSPECT THE SILVER WHEN BUYING IN PERSON THIS HAS BEEN COVERED A MILLION FUCKING TIMES:
If you're buying in person when they present the coins make sure you bite every single coin to verify the correct density, after you bite it make sure to drop it on the counter to see if it makes a ping sound, if it doesn't it's silver plated lead. If you don't do this theyll know you're a newfaggot redditor and WILL gouge you on price, considering that this practice is basically a universal custom since forever, which is why you see it in the movies. If you're lucky someone else will be in the store and buying ahead of you so you can watch them and learn how it's done. It can be frustrating though to wait for someone else to finish their inspection when you're in a fucking hurry. I've offered people to help bite the fucking coins in front of me because I needed to get back from my lunch break and these fucking boomer rock grannies keep losing their dentures.

They borrowed to play the system. Use someone else's money to buy the silver, corner the market, price of silver goes up, sell it at a profit, pay back the debt, and keep the difference. This is seen as unacceptable, even though you did your research, studdied the market, worked hard, and bought it legally, held it legally, and were planning on selling it legally after a certain point.

You can do the same with stocks, it's called SHORTING. You borrow stock from someone, sell it, wait for the price to go down, then buy it back. Replace the stock, keep the difference. You never owned the stock you sold and that is A-OK - and it's A-OK to get your rich friends in on it, but you (average joe) are told these people make their money by working hard, studying the market, and doing their research.

Still paying attention? Or have you grabbed your torch and pitchfork and joined us yet?

Very small but it's still a remarkable thing to see. Don't think I've ever seen a number this high.

"COQUITLAM, BC, Jan. 29, 2021 /CNW/ - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV: CCW) (OTCQB: CCWOF) (Frankfurt: 4T9B) (the "Company" or "Canada Silver Cobalt") is very pleased to announce the receipt of assays from hole CS-20-39 at 89,853 grams per tonne silver (2,621 ounces per ton) over 0.3 metres from 557.46 to 557.76m confirming the significant potential of discovering additional high-grade silver at the Robinson Zone on the flagship Castle Silver property located near the town of Cobalt in Northern Ontario, Canada."

"Highest grade silver to date at Robinson Zone: 89,853 g/t silver (2,621 ounces per ton). Vein is from hole CS-20-39 at a downhole depth of 557.5 – 557.73m with a true width of 5-7cm.
90 percent native silver in the coarse, metallic fraction, 894,813 g/t Ag (26,103 ounces per ton)
New vein. Grades exceed those from wedge hole CS-19-08W2 released January 10, 2020 (70,380 g/t silver (2,053 oz/T) over 0.3m)"

New high-grade silver vein in CS-20-39 with 5–7 cm true width, 60m from the main Robinson Vein.

Canada Silver Cobalt President Matt Halliday, P.Geo. stated, "Bullion bar silver grade of 90% pure silver in the metallics was recovered from the drill core within 60 metres from the main vein on the Robinson Zone. This new vein system is being followed up with directional drilling (wedging) to define extent of the mineralized structure.""

>Also, for a high enough price people can't buy it to begin with.

I think this is fundamentally where you are not understanding the situation we are in. If the price of silver gets too high then it will be a massive signal of the weakening of the US dollar, and in fact all fiat currencies, which would in itself expose the ETF scam due to the massive surge in demand for physical delivery at any premium. Industry still NEEDS silver, this is not negotiable. There must be a market for buying and selling silver or the whole thing collapses anyway. It's like saying that if everyone starts buying basedbeans then they will be forced to not sell basedbeans to anyone. Our economy can't function in any capacity like that.

i really doubt its propaganda. Think about it, something like 25% of all USD in existence was printed in the last year alone. That combined with so many people being out of work and all the other financial fuckery going around it seems pretty likely that within the next year or two the price of everything is going to start going up significantly due to inflation. Precious metals are really the only good physical method of hedging against that reality. I don't think we're going to see price drops on anything in the next several years. The stock market is whack, ammunition is completely unobtainable with primer backorders extending past 18months, precious metal prices are trending upwards, oil is likely about to skyrocket, etc.

Now that reddit and the rest of the internet are having their fun destroying hedge funds its not long before the general idea of a silver rush or a bank rush takes hold and fucks things into the ground even further. Only real way out of this is a diverse portolio with moving large amounts of your fiat into hard currency or crypto before everything collapses.

You make many astute observations. I think that Doug Casey basically said "If you're a young person and want to get rich, the best thing you can buy right now is these horrible little junior mining stocks that nobody cares about." (Referring to the sector in general.) And Bob Moriarty said in many an interview that you buy specific mining stocks when everybody hates them and "the knives are out." When you think about it, it makes sense. If other people could see the value which you see in a stock, then the share price would already be much higher. You have to be more discerning than the majority of people in making your purchase, otherwise they already would have front-run you. You have to "See the future early" as Sprott says.

This is why I have such respect for Moriarty and his opinion on Irving. Before this week, I was seriously considering making Irving a large core position of mine. Even though it had spent six months going down, was completely unresponsive to any short-runs in silver price, and was basically frozen in time as a company operating in Japan. I may have missed that opportunity now. But Irving, and certainly that little silver miner in Oregon I won't name, are perfect examples of companies which no one likes, everyone thinks are opportunity costs, etc. and that may, in the very long run, outperform all of the "safe" miners which are loved right now at sub-$30 silver.

I exited the rest of my entire Eloro position and bought the Irving bottom a few days ago. Didn't see why Eloro deserved a $200 million mcap when Irving was languishing at $100 million. I now own just as much Irving as CCW. It seems to have stabilized now and is beginning to reverse. Especially since we heard that Irving can send drill-teams in now (some people might have missed that on ceo.ca). I'm amazed at what happened to MUX, it's a simple straight line on the chart bringing it above its previous August high. It shows how fast these miners can move, which is a point which I've been making for a while now. When the news or the short squeeze comes you're either in or you're out. So much of Irving is in the hands of Eric Sprott, Quinton Hennigh, and Akiko Levinson that when people want to get back in they are going to have to pay dearly for these shares.

By the way, speaking of small liquidity, I now own literally millions of shares of "the miner that can't be named." I sold winners and accumulated most of them at these ridiculous prices. Every time somebody fudded the stock and drove down the price I bought more. I see that multiple people on ceo.ca own a million or more shares, the CEO 10 million, many insiders millions. Volume is extremely high, shares are rapidly departing from weak and ignorant hands into strong ones. I'm never selling my shares and I'm sure that that's true of everybody else with a large position so if anybody wants to get in soon they will be completely locked out. This silver mine belongs to us. I'm not giving my shares away until they go 100x. Then I might think about letting somebody have them.

The fundamentals of these disliked microcaps (BHS, IRV, SSE, BLLG, etc.) are exactly why I have a hard time believing that these companies will fail. If PM prices are rising, and they must rise, seeing as how we're furiously diluting the dollar, fighting off rising bond yields, depleting already miniscule physical PM reserves, demonstrating to every investor in the world that our markets are rigged games in favor of oligarchs, etc, then the resources these companies have in the ground cannot be anything but extraordinarily valuable. Imagine: you're crawling across the desert, extremely dehydrated, hours away from death, and you see me standing at a refreshment stand. I have all the cold water you could drink. You would do anything to hydrate yourself. So, naturally, you would care nothing about how I manage my refreshment stand, the types of cups I use, the color of the table cloth, whether or not I have straws, etc. That is how I see this PM bull market. The companies that have the high-grade gold and silver in the ground must go up. All the other complaints and reservations and shareholder consensus about things like poorly perceived management (the cups and tablecloths on my refreshment stand) will eventually mean nothing if these miners have the goods in the ground and the means to get it out.

Yes, you are exactly right and everything which you say is extremely interesting and sensible. And in fact I believe that this is why Sprott loves these enormous land-packages so much like Mountain Boy Minerals or Genesis Metals or the historical silver-stocks like Dolly Varden where you know that the metals have to be in there in the ground, even if you haven't proven it yet. It's why even horrible companies like Klondike where the ceo does nothing but dump his shares on the market are going to rise exponentially. Quadrillions of dollars will be chasing these stocks in the end--anything with the word "silver" in the name. I think that a lot of the complainers in the ceo.ca chat room are jaded old boomers who are used to buying mining stocks in a bear market. They don't appreciate the macroeconomic picture and are not seeing the future early, like Sprott. The ones who are capable of doing that have a much more cheerful and intelligent attitude (like @oldbanker or @buff). The only person whom I've seen quote the 150x figure on ceo.ca is @tin. Most people simply don't even remotely understand the potential which these stocks have, even people who are already involved in the mining sector.

Yes, unless you already have thousands of 1ozers keep stacking those and get some "junk" silver coins to serve as fractional units if you need to directly trade/buy things with silver. In the aftermath of the GFC there were flea and farmer's markets that popped up where silver was preferred and parallel prices in fiat as well as 90% silver "junk" coin and bullion were posted side-by-side. I can definitely see this happening again if things get bad, especially in states where silver and gold bullion is already recognized as legal tender.

I have a good hiding spot but am in need of a waterproof/fireproof container small enough to fit it. Anyone have any recommendations for small (less than 1 ft in any direction) containers that are fire/waterproof and safe to store coins in? I read sentrysafes are not because they use moisture in the insulation.

There is half an ounce per inhabitant in the world

Gold has specific properties that make it never decay, so it goes through ages and because of its rarity and its beauty it always always always has value.

The only moment when it has no value is if we collapse to a pre-civilisational level, which would anyway render any non survivalist talk/action of the current world totally useless.

If you are moving and haven't bought yet bolt a safe down at the new place and begin buying. I would say though consider that you can hide half a million in gold pretty easily and it doesn't take up as much space as silver.

Considering how many /biz/nessmen have sold at least some portion of their Crypto portfolios to get into hard physical assets, I dare say we are.
