first of all, options don't expire until market close. it's not market close. second of all, options expiry is only a portion of what will cause the squeeze. short shares don't expire, they are only liquidated when underlying stock price is driven high enough to trigger action by the broker. you probably put hundreds or thousands of dollars on the short squeeze meme without even understanding the mechanics of it, didn't you?
