For the new posters:

The bankers use a derivatives market called the COMEX to manipulate the price of silver. 500 digital ounces of silver are traded back and forth for every real ounce held in the vaults. Equivalent to fractional reserve banking. The banks heavily short silver here. So much so that they would go bankrupt if the physical was taken delivery of. The regulators said when first setting up silver-trading on the COMEX in the 70s that the purpose was to scare off the average investor with suppression and volatility. Don’t let them beat you. Adjusted for inflation, silver should be $966 (ShadowStats).

This article about the Hunt Brothers, "Hunt for Silver," is also a must-read: https://s3.amazonaws.com/camppictures/CampArchive/Economy/Hunt%20For%20Silver.pdf | They were cheated by the bankers just like the GME short-squeezers today.

If you buy silver, only buy either physical coins or if you do go with ETFs, PSLV. DO NOT buy SLV.

PSLV: Run by billionaire silver-bull and banker-killer Eric Sprott, fully audited and backed, with a delivery mechanism at 10,000 ounces for anybody

SLV: Scam with no proven metal, run by JP Morgan, only a few big banks have access, delivery for 500,000 ounces only if you're a big bank, can pay you out in cash in case of a default

If you can't buy PSLV then buy AG (First Majestic Silver). It's the next GME. Support the squeeze on this company which has a 30% short-float. The bankers are trying to punish CEO Keith Neumeyer, who refuses to supply the COMEX.

Go for government minted 1kg bars.
They are the most liquid and have the least premiums, it is also made from the silver that would be instead be used to make COMEX bars.

>It's out of panic, not genuine interest.
It's both. I'm studying for the CFA and connecting the dots on how fucked the situation is.

Speaking of genuine interest, is there a good guide out there on acquiring bullion and what to expect from premiums? local dealers vs. ones that ship etc.? I don't need a whole spoon feeding, just a good starting point to not get absolutely taken.

My main question is twofold:
- what are the best places to get current spot prices
- how do I connect this to the prices I'm paying appropriately? i.e. when I buy corn at the store it's marked up a bit from the corn spot price, but that doesn't mean it's a rip off. Unless I go to whole foods.

First of all the average historical wage as paid in silver, which is only about 1/10th of an ounce. Secondly if you calculate a 1:1 DGR and 1:15 GSR which is the normal historical ratio, and what silver attained in 1980. Thirdly if you use ShadowStats which simply calculates inflation the way that the government used to do it. Fourthly if you simply use your common sense and think about how minuscule the supply of silver is both in stockpiles (almost non-existent) and from the miners in relation to how valuable silver is.

sure, but you'd have to buy about $1.5 billion dollars worth of silver PER MONTH just to get most of what's mined. That's assuming your little game doesn't raise the price of silver, which of course it would. $10 billion a month is probably a reasonable guess for how much you'd need to spend to start. $100 billion per month is probably closer once you got the market mopped up.

While I agree that it is pmg consensus that silver will moon harder since it is more volatile, I don't blame anons for wanting more gold in their stacks. If everybody is planning on trading their silver to each other in return for gold, how will there be enough supply of gold if most people were hoarding silver planning to trade it for gold too?

It is true that silver rises more than gold during bull markets, though I think a hyperinflationary currency collapse might be a different case of bull market. Who knows what will happen. I personally think I am overweight on gold

By what metric?
Silver is scarce, it's being used in just about every other smartphone/solar panel/bing bing wahoo gadget, and it's certainly not valued higher than it has historically.
You think you're looking at the big picture when you're only looking at a 10 year timeframe.
Next you're going to try and sell me house because you can't think past a decade in history.

The reason gold has value is this: For most of history gold never had any pragmatic uses, it was just there to look pretty and symbolize wealth. The reason it symbolizes wealth is that it takes a lot of time, resources, and labor to extract gold meaning that anybody who could get it in its final form would have to have power over other people and that process of extraction to get it. People only extracted it because they valued it. Humans are the locus of value. They give things value. Gold and silver being valuable is just what humans decide. Gold and silver being valuable is lindy.

not sure, m8. how much you have in there? if it's a lot, start selling into the pumps. you might get some momentum from the broad metal market rally, but just set those limit orders now.

horay I knew I wasnt going mad. It sucks so much because once again that whole area is just ripe to be plundered by the right company but aurcana might not be them after all. Also I had a look at the true size of their land package for mining, its like 10% the size of some of these juniors in the Golden Triangle, and some of that nearby ground is for sale through the government for pennies on the dollar, they should be buying everything they can nearby to expand the land package, in its current state its just not tempting enough for a lot of investment.

500oz at once is definitely eyebrow raising. Try not to make any purchase over $10k at once, it can trigger an automatic report. If i were you i'd split it onto 3 differents orders, maybe try to wait few days between each.
Consfication by kikes could become a very real thing if we turn into a full bolchevik jewhole. And sadly, no matter how tiny your purchase, they'll always be able to track you down by asking silver merchants for their order books.

Most anonymous way to purchase is either buying in cash directly in person from a LCS, and maybe ebay.
