I've been using thinkpads in the past. Easy to repair and great keyboard but their screens were abysmal.

Can't say anything about the longevity of the matebook but it's a solid and portable machine.

Really the only reason Thinkpads were good was because they were modular, had nice keyboards and businesses dump a shit ton of them on the market secondhand and they are cheap as a result. New thinkpads are complete shit. The modularity is gone in newer thinkpads, the new keyboards are complete shit, they are made cheaply like any other piece of shit Mac laptop.
