Market crashes don't destroy value they only transfer it.
Where would value flee in the event of retail having the upper hand on institutional?
Short sellers are going to be btfo just as God intended

the fundamentals are not good. but it seems retail trading is putting positive pressure on the overall market.

Funds are fucked. Royally fucked. But the SEC will probably change the rules.

Hedges are selling to cover, and retail keeps buying the broad index. Meaning, right after they're done selling their "long" positions to cover they'll be pumping our bags (buy in higher) or go broke or miss out on the golden bull

yea its looking pretty bad man, but awesome for the shorted stocks. I might buy more just to cover my ole stock positions in case it goes to hell and highwater. I did not expect this.

Means dumb money (outsiders) are getting in while smart money (finance industry) is bailing out. Throughout history this has been a classic before the shit hits the fan mantra. At least before a major correction anyway.

1. Biggest four day decline in hedge fund exposure they've ever seen. Hedge funds are reducing their risk.
2. Multiple strategy funds lost last week, traditional long and short funds lost this week.
3. You are all buying it from them.
Now since he mentions "last week" on 01/28/21 I am wondering if this is really the result of recent squeezes or if they are merely observing the ginormous influx of new investors with little knowledge and taking it as a signal that the market is topping.
Institutions exiting while retails provide the liquidity to do it at the top of the market is classic and extremely characteristic of retail.
Maybe they are just bracing for an expected jump in volatility.
Honestly this is a really bad signal if you've just bought but I doubt most of you will be able to see that.

fractional reserve banking but with stocks. instead of a bank run you have a stock run but the brokerages don't hold your stock anymore and now they're fucked.
