I want to be a day trader

I want to live in seattle

The only thing I've ever been good at will shackle me to the shit and nigger covered east coast of this country.

Can you be a small time trader live on the west coast and just wake up early and trade from 5:30 to noon?

But more importantly, How hard would I just be fucked by having so much distance between me and JewYC?

Pic related.

SHIT tier east coast girl
GOAT tier west coast girl

And an example of one of the lies that east women believe.

I live on the West Coast (Canada though). Our market is on the same timezone as the NYSE. You'll be waking up at 5:30 or so, and finishing up around 1 or 2 I think (don't remember NYSE hours).

It can be done, my dad works for a guy who loves to brag about the killing he's making on the stock market as a trader.

Living in Seattle is overrated. Where are you on the East Coast?

Chances are you can do just fine there. Also, the difference in girls is your perception. Stop self-hating.

Oh yeah no don't move to Seattle, it sucks major nuts. I thought you were moving to like, California or Oregon or some shit for the nature or weed.

Just enjoy not having to spend every waking moment worrying about earhtquakes, OP.

Living in Silicon Valley after moving from NY. No earthquakes so far. The women are cuter but people are overall more shallow and faggy than back home. Go to San Diego or LA, not Oregon or Washington unless you want even more fucking snow.

why would you think that...? I mean it's clear you don't know what HFT does but you havr to be pretty retarded to think algorithms are sentient...

>> No.269851

Trading is a skill that needs to be practiced. Don't expect to jump right in and make loads of cash. Read a bunch of different books and paper-trade to find a system that works for you.

ALWAYS SET SPECIFIC GOALS THAT ARE REALISTIC.
I want to make money isn't a good enough goal, how much do you want to make per day? $250/day is a good start, when you hit that mark on a day, stop trading real money and just paper trade for the rest of the day. Move your goals up when you can easily hit your mark.

Yes this sounds dumb, why would you stop on a hot streak? Because streaks always end, and people with no discipline keep going until they're in the negative.

Discipline is your number one tool and it must always be exercised.

>> No.269873

Distance isnt going to matter you arent a HFT. If you can stand waking up early enough to trade then the west coast is fine. Be aware you will probably need to be up an hour or so before the market to start looking for any news before the bell.

I know a few guys in asia that trade the US market.

Why would HFT wipe out daytraders? They arent related.

pretty much this
Also very satisfying to know you have a full day ahead of you when you're done working. And if you make enough money, you can live off trading alone, which means you can fill up the after hours with drugs, hookers, video games and whatever else you want to do.

good ideas, but why set a specific dollar amount instead of a % of a portfolio? 250$ is nothing for someone with 100k but alot for 5000$

You need 25K in your account to day trade with as little risk as possible and still make enough money

Without 25k you cannot perform more than three interday trades per five trading days. Your account will be frozen. Meaning you have to do the impossible. Find that sub penny stock that isn't a dilution scam, get in at the bottom, HOLD, and white knuckle ride it to 1000% gains.

I would suggest you learn how to trade penny stocks. Are you going to research 100 penny stocks? That is crazy man.

I have a 9 to 5 job that pays me middle class wages, but the market opens at 7:30 AM for me so I can spend the first hour trading if something looks good, for 10% to 25% gains. I shoot for an extra $1000 per month after taxes. I basically use the money I make as my spending money and use my paycheck for bills, saving the rest for a mortgage.

Learn technicals, get Level 2 so you can see wtf is going on, and find websites that offer classes on daytrading. Go to iHub and learn how all these stocks are scams and how not to be scammed. Find usernames with grey beards next to them, and follow those guys because they have ten years experience with penny trading and know the game.

good luck

>> No.270597

Oh no, I was just asking how it works with the penny stocks, since you said to ride it to 1000% gains (which presumably almost never happens, but if you hit up a lot of stocks, one being lucky would be enough to cover the rest and then some).

I only do forex, not stocks. Stocks are for after I make a good amount of money, can actually live off of forex and want to get some more passive income/diversify some. I'll get into that then.
