You're right, but it's more of breadcrumbs at this point. Binance tweeted their project out a couple of days ago (doesn't happen often with microcaps of 2 million at the time). The fact that they are the first to implement erc20 to BSN transfers means they may have had some help from binance side a bit in order to help them be a "first mover". Nobody knows for sure, but it's pretty incredible to see what they've accomplished. Also, the ceo of rubic is the same person who assisted binance with token launches previously so there's already a good connection between CZ and Vlad. Just all speculation still, but it seems to be going in the right direction. Regardless, the project itself is good.

So to answer your question, you must understand how cross chain transactions work. Let's start with an explanation of ether-based tokens. When you make a transaction, you're using gas as the fee. We all hate gas because it's so expensive... So how do we make cross chain cheaper? Well, we need something on both ends of the chain that are compatible and can be used as a small fee. This something is our small friend called rubic! Rubic is used to push through the transactions from both ends, chain to chain. This is how your transaction knows how much of something you should get as well when performing the trade. Since rbc will be used as the "gas" (so to speak), then the more users using it will help push the price. Do you need rbc to perform cross chain?? No you don't, but it would make it cheaper on you. Same way that binance uses their binance coin to assist with lower fees on binance. Same concept. Hope it made sense!

Well if it is the first issue (most likely) you have other transactions that need to go through before they get to the transaction you want. You can check the nonce in etherscan which is essentially the order, with the lower the number the sooner you get your transaction handled, essentially your place in line. You can attempt to speed up the transaction but I don't have much luck with that. Transactions are supposed to fail after a set period but it still requires someone to handle the cancelation before any other transaction can be handled. I personally have had to wait 18 hours for a transaction to cancel before.

I have never had luck with canceling or speeding up. I have heard that you can force a transaction by sending 0 eth to your wallet but I have never tried. I have been wrecked in a similar way.
