Ya its really fucking arbitrary and bullshit. I've been sending emails to random MP's every few weeks to allow 0 fee trading apps that arent wealthsimple, and to make it easier for apps like robinhoob and etorro to get licenses here. And then I've been sending emails to wealthsimple to allow for trading options/futures contracts. Pierre Poievre seems like the best bet though for someone who could actually make it happen, he'll most likely be finance minister in the future, and he really supports canadians taking control of their own investments and not being owned by banks (who I suspect are the ones blocking this).

I dont really know what else to do that will realistically make a difference or help
