reddit is being leveraged maybe even by citadel themselves. Let me explain in short, citadel is the biggest buyer of Robin Hood orders (so they know in advance what people are buying on RH before anyone else does). They have the exact numbers of WSB sentiments, capital, trendshifts etc. They could have very well predicted Melvin's capital fate and so get majority stake on the firm for a price they could not refuse because of their mistake. Citadel can continue doing this with any hedge firm that messes with WSB or the RH zoomer tendsetters. Correct if I'm overanalysing this.
